Drinking my coffee and enjoying you two. I believe I’ve mentioned this before but I’ll say it again - love how you keep it real and don’t “bullshit” with all that social media fairy dust👍✌️

The transparency and realness of this video compared to others I've seen is so refreshing. It's also so encouraging, because for the first time contract work actually seems obtainable. Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video! Safe travels!

My son is 29 and has been an independent contractor for 2 years now. He told me just the other day that he never wants to be a "company man" again. He "works" for a wonderful company and the owner expected him to request transitioning to consultant work. He is soon to retire so my son is preparing for the company to be sold and is already strategizing on what he wants to do next. It was really nice to hear your explanation of how you went about figuring things out for yourself. I remember my son trying to figure out his worth and does the same thing as you...charges per project.

You guys are really hitting it out of the park with this series on location independent work. Can't wait for the Amazon info. Their is so much misinformation about Amazon FBA on KZbin, mainly the get rich quick videos from salespeople selling online courses. A reality check is really welcome and what I expect from you.

Jon- I can't tell you how much I hate 99.9% of the people on youtube talking amazon. Have to put a bit of a warning out there though- the video next week isn't a step by step on "how to" for amazon. Its high level view of the experience, some of the trouble we ran into to, and resources to go to if you're interested in learning more. More of these types of videos to come. We're gonna be interviewing more and more people who are living remote and doing their own thing. Our biggest goal is to pivot from those typical remote careers (computer focused) and show some of the things that are much more non traditional (roles like chiropractors, professionals, etc.)

Thanks Fin. A lot of useful information in this video and series. We appreciate it and you both! Leon and I met through poetry on instagram and travelled to 13 countries together when we met....and shared it with the poetry community on instagram because they were curious with Leon being in England and me in Canada. Kinda became a poetic love story lol we never intended to travel to share....it just kind of happened. We can't wait to start living and working and sharing abroad again! Come on April 2nd :). Thank you again for your amazing videos - we as a couple relate to you both so much!

This is so doable... I am currently in Tokyo. Heading back home to the US on Wednesday, after having traveled to Zurich, Singapore, Kyoto and Seoul. I am a digital nomad also and the most challenging part is finding that first client ;) Good luck and happy hunting for all those who want to make this lifestyle a reality!

I saw your México series and I just loved it so I'm just following you guys. Super useful info and I totally agree that you only need 1 client to start. I work remotely (programmer) and I am seriously considering traveling all year on 2020 - and you guys make it so easy to actually make that decision. Keep those videos coming! BTW, I liked the weekly retainer idea, I am going to change to that.

I feel like 80% of who we see at coworking spaces are programmers! Our buddy Matt is a programmer and we have a little interview with him coming out soon- sounds like you e already got it figured out though. We wish you nothing but the best of luck in 2020 with your travels!

In HR it’s hard to be a remote employee unless you are a headhunter. It’s interesting to hear how you, Fin, took your career to the next level.

I am looking forward the next video on how to work with amazon. I am in desperate need of switching carrier. I have been doing what I do for way to long and I am ready for a change. recently starting doing social media but realistically I have no much expectations on that. maybe mixing it with other things can be reliable. please upload the next video soon.

great advice...I talked an attorney into hiring me for remote when he wss advertising for full time onsite...not sure how to switch our agreement to contractor at some point....my other really big concern is that I don't know what I need to do for taxes...should I just get a cpa...and isnt that pretty expensive... I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks

I did commercial plumbing for a long time after college. Stuff like sewer and water- not the “fix a toilet” kind.
