@@HIM_066xMusicReactions Following up on @ms.chuckfu1088’s (VERY accurate) comment… I’ve seen a few Hamilton reactions that apply a watermark and/or opacity shift to the original footage. It’s nice for the audience to have a visual “guide,” but it doesn’t need to be pristine. The most important thing is for YOU (the reactor) to see the visuals. Odds are good that most people watching already have the stage performance and/or various animatics embedded in their mind’s eye 🤗

"Reading every treatise on the shelf" is what they said. A treatise is a written work dealing formally and systematically with a subject. That's actually not a double entendre. A double entendre is a word or phrase that has two meanings, one of which is often risqué or socially unacceptable -- that wouldn't be that in this case. You'll find that what you're going to find in Lin-Manuel Miranda's music is that he is able to blend them into multiple songs over the entire movie/film/play. It all has melodic brilliance and cohesion. It's just absolutely gorgeous and unlike anything we've heard before him. He's genius!
@felixhenson9926Ай бұрын
double-entendres can be not inappropriate, and the aural resemblance between treatise and treaties is almost certainly intentional on Lin's part so I'd argue he rly wasn't wrong.

A few things Epic was heavily inspired by Hamilton, as you can really easily tell if you listen to the original "Full Speed Ahead" concept song and Ismarus, a cut song. Further into it, LMM took inspiration from MANY rap artists for a lot of these songs and how they flowed, one of the most commonly cited being Eminem. Also, there is an official recording of the broadway show they filmed back in 2016, and it's on Disney+. Your video will very likely get clapped hard if you show it on screen for too long, but It's good to have for yourself. I personally kinda prefer the live performances more myself, but the original cast recordings are still incredibly solid.

While I understand the feeling that this musical is structured differently than others, I'd argue this musicial is structed very similar to other sung thru musicals and operas. What's different is only the musical genres of this and some other songs. While this doesn't sound like a typical Broadway musical, the purpose and placement of the songs are very comparable to other sung thru musicals. (Evita, Sweeny Todd, Jesus Christ Superstar, Les Miserable, Rent and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. ) This opening song eases everyone into the right mood and starts the Alexander Hamilton story. It becomes a wilder ride as you go along but it follows conventional storytelling techniques. It's easier if you watch along, with captions turned on, or if only listening, with lyrics handy. We want to hear your initial impressions. Be reassured, most questions you have about the story or characters get answered in the next song, or a bit later. Except for the questions that are never answered. Relax and enjoy. I'll tag along.

It's always so fun to come upon a new reactor coming to Hamilton. I'm a more audible rather than a more visual person myself. But, Hamilton the musical is something very special. The performances are as much of the whole experience as the music, and you really won't be getting a large part of the best is has to offer. It is a pain, because you will have to put some sort of graphic over the video, And you'll have to occasionally stop and also make brief edits, to keep the trademark orcs off your back. If you've ever considered a patreon channel, now may be the time. Though I've heard grumblings that they might be going after patreon channels to from trademark infringement.

Just as I wouldn’t enjoy a reaction ‘audio’ anywhere near as much as your reaction ’videos’ ❤, please react to the ‘movie’ of the live Broadway show!!! It features the original cast and adds so much depth to the Hamilton story. The physicality of the performance is amazing. These artists are on stage, with one intermission, for more than 2 1/2 hours. They are not just phenomenal singers/rappers, they are top tier actors and dancers. There is story context and emotion that can’t be communicated through music recorded in a studio. Plus, subtitles are available! Some of the raps are so fast that subtitles are a requirement (for most of us)! 😂

A couple things I think will let you enjoy the whole experience better: characters rapping or singing has a meaning, but I won't tell you which. Some songs NEED to be seen together, as they have a completely different meaning as stand-alone songs. HIGHLY suggest: 1. Get someone who knows the proper flow to give you a song breakdown to set yourselfup for a proper reaction. 2. Either watch the Disney version (stage play) WITH THE CAPTIONS, or use the videos with the lyrics embedded. The stage play gives you a TON of visuals, expressions, colors, movements, stage set-up, dancing, that the "recording only" version will not and cannot add to your reactions. The recording in the studio is great, but the stage play gives you a visual and pauses at various important moments thatthe audio-only copy could never offer. You already missed a LOT, and that was just one song! 3. Get a seat belt for that chair, cuz it's gonna be a bumpy ride! 4. If you don't mind spoilers, youre gonna get a LOT of historical context here that can't be found elsewhere. Lots of historical facts (and embellishments) in this show, and small things that you wouldnt know unless a fan told you about it, or you learned it from school. One non-spoiler/add-on: Washington really did throw his hat down at some point and got mad that the volunteers fighting this war weren't strong enough to beat the British. It's a small glimpse into history, and a small glimpse into a single line in the show that means more than people realize.
