What do you think we should do next with the Jeep? Should we keep it close to stock and restore it to its original glory, or should we go all-in and give it some serious modifications? 🤔 Drop your thoughts and ideas in the comments below! We’d love to hear what you want to see next!

Those accessory brackets on the windshield and rear corners are likely for an external cage style roof rack! What's nice about the old jeeps is that they make patch panels and frame repair pieces for just about everything on the car. Considering it's just a 4 cylinder with a rotten frame, I wouldn't personally dump a ton of money into it. It'll make a good woods beater though. If you really want to turn it into a good jeep with just the 4 cylinder, you'd need to regear the axles if you put any real big tires on it. I'd recommend looking around for a 4.0L 5 speed jeep with a rotten body or something that you can swap the red body onto, it'll be cheaper than trying to get that 4 cyl to have any real power to it. I have a 1991 YJ, and when it was a 4cyl 5 speed with 33s and 4.10s it got a whopping 11mpg on a good day, couldn't go faster than 75, took a full minute to get to 60.

Thanks for the advice! After shooting this video we actually got some frame patches and fixed the bad spots on the frame and everything frame wise is fairly solid now. New goal now is to replace the floor pans and fix some of the rust on the rest of the tub. Once the rest of the rust is repaired then we will consider what upgrades to do next. I would really like to swap a bigger motor in, but hesitant since current motor is in decent condition with relatively low miles.

Those brackets could be mirror holders for when the doors are off

Hmm, we didn't think about that. We think it was actually part of a roof rack at one point. There are similar brackets on the back that suggest this.
