All the credit goes to God, dear Janet. Sometimes the most interesting stories are simply those from our personal experiences and those relating to TRUTH and God's Grace.

I am so proud to call Robert my friend and brother. He has such a cheerful disposition and great attitude about life. He is someone I look up to, as is Joseph. One day I hope to be able to tell my story on KZbin. I’m here to help all men, Orthodox or not, have release from that horrible life of sin and sadness. Glory to God! ☦️🙏🏻

Thank YOU, Mary. I only hope that some young people watching this will gain the hope that they too can escape sexual addictions and addictions of all kinds by turning their lives over to God and getting help via a good Apostolic Church grounded in the teachings of Jesus. No one wants them to be happy and free more than God. God is Our Salvation...not our enemy.

Robert and Joseph, I thoroughly enjoyed this interview! Robert, I frequently read your thoughtful comments on Joseph's Facebook page. I always know you will have something important to add and that I will learn from your comments. I am so happy to now know your story and to know that my instincts of being drawn to you are correct. God has his hand on you. I am a Roman Catholic convert who has been looking at the Orthodox Church. I also have an adult son who is gay and agnostic but not actively living the lifestyle. I want to thank you both for the work that you do!

Thank you so much for your supportive comments. I think that both Joseph and I are merely very grateful for Gods' patience and mercy upon us in directing us to His Church, which is to me, not repressive or hard to deal with at all, in fact it is just the opposite. Orthodoxy teaches a loving and forgiving God who wants us to succeed and enjoy the blessings of eternal life that he offers to anyone willing to admit their faults and move forward in the Light of Christ, hand in hand with Him. Having lived with us on this earth and found first hand how difficult and challenging physical life can be, His heart is always moved by compassion and understanding of our weaknesses and hardships and He is always there to help us pick up the pieces and move on.

A good discussion overall. I'm completely baffled by the phrase "God had plan B ready"--just in case(55:54)-so the Cross was an ambulance that God sent to the site of a train wreck??? It would seem to me, based upon the first chapter of Paul's letter to the church at Ephesus, as well as chapters one and two of Colossians, that the incarnation, life, death, resurrection, and universal restoration of all things in the LORD Christ was God's eternal purpose and decree, definitley not a "plan B". Does the "plan B" ascription truly represent Orthodoxy or is it merely the musings of two neophytes?

Perhaps "Plan B" was a clumsy way of my phrasing it. All that I was saying is that once God's original Plan was circumvented by Satan, He did not give up and simply curse mankind, but immediately responded with love and compassion . You see, there would never have been a need for a "Universal Restoration of all things" had not Satan interrupted God's original plan because His plan for the Theosis of Mankind would have moved forward unhindered to it's complete realization. But as it IS, everything has been postponed, has it not?

Gonna go on a limb and say I identify as a gay man well don't get me wrong I'm sexually "straight" but what's up with me being attracted to unavailable men? Gay men, priests. Anyhoo... trauma? Sure ...abused by a kid and dad was never around... he was in Vietnam or working 2 jobs to support our family. So got married bc that's what you did, the ex said he may not be able to have kids, it didn't matter but God saw my heart and how I wanted children. We had 3❤. Mental illness reared it's head probably from suppressing trauma for decades so after 24 years divorced. I'm in a better place mentally with the help of the drugs and good relationships with my children and lots of pets (dogs and a cat)😊

Tobychaser: Sounds to me like you are reaching out for what you never got as a child...a really good and healthy father/Son relationship or perhaps simply no male bonding or male acceptance when you were growing up. That was certainly what happened with me. And you can still have that within the context of a good church community and developing a good relationship with God. You can have good male bonding and genuine Christian love without it having to be in a sexual context. Children and pets DO help and they distract us from loneliness, but if the male- bonding is still missing, it will always be a "hole" in your being until that hole is filled, either by Our Lord or by brothers within the Christian Community. May The Lord bless you in your journey toward wholeness. Remember that the Christian Community is spoken of as the Bride of Christ. So even if you identify as heterosexual and are married, but still ache for a meaningful male bond in your life, why not look to Our Lord as our and your "chaste spouse" and love Him with all your heart?
