I've lived in South Jersey for 50 years. In that time, this station was running, then closed, then renovated & re-opened, then closed again.

It’s tragic that we had the technology so long ago, but it became irrelevant and almost forgotten in this country.

PATCO seems to me a weird suburban - subway hybrid like a commuter rail grafted onto an abandoned subway line that got reactivated

maybe but it an Express metro for the suburban the crazy thing about is 3 main key in the 30s plan it was going be the chestnut street subway along side the bridge line that didn't happen so in 60s we where testing out tech on rail so it a fast metro built to heavy rail standard it knock out the commuter rail system in Camden so it running at 20 percent of what it spouse to be a bigger system in south jersey killed by the people

There was also a Franklin Square station in NYC on the long lost NYW&B 3rd Avenue Elevated line that went from Gun Hill Road in The Bronx all the way down to South Ferry in Lower Manhattan for these following stations before 1950: Bronx Gun Hill Road Williams Bridge-210th Street 204th Street Bedford Park Boulevard-200th Street Fordham Road-190th Street 183rd Street 180th Street Tremont Avenue-177th Street 174th Street Claremont Parkway-between 171st and 172nd Streets 169th Street 166th Street 161st Street-Saint Anne’s Avenue 3rd Avenue-156th Street 3rd Avenue-149th Street 3rd Avenue-143rd Street 3rd Avenue-138th Street 3rd Avenue-133rd Street Manhattan 3rd Avenue-125th Street 116th Street 106th Street 99th Street 89th Street 84th Street 76th Street 67th Street 59th Street 53rd Street 47th Street Grand Central-42nd Street 34th Street-Ferry 2nd Avenue 34th Street 28th Street 23rd Street 18th Street 14th Street 9th Street-Bowery Houston Street Grand Street Canal Street Chatham Square City Hall Franklin Square Fulton Street Hanover Square South Ferry 3rd Avenue elevated line before 1955: Bronx Gun Hill Road Williams Bridge-210th Street 204th Street Bedford Park Boulevard-200th Street Fordham Road-190th Street 183rd Street 180th Street Tremont Avenue-177th Street 174th Street Claremont Parkway-between 171st and 172nd Streets 169th Street 166th Street 161st Street-Saint Anne’s Avenue 3rd Avenue-156th Street 3rd Avenue-149th Street 3rd Avenue-143rd Street 3rd Avenue-138th Street 3rd Avenue-133rd Street Manhattan 3rd Avenue-125th Street 116th Street 106th Street 99th Street 89th Street 84th Street 76th Street 67th Street 59th Street 53rd Street 47th Street Grand Central-42nd Street 34th Street-Ferry 2nd Avenue 34th Street 28th Street 23rd Street 18th Street 14th Street 9th Street-Bowery Houston Street Grand Street Canal Street Chatham Square 3rd Avenue elevated line before April 29th 1973: Bronx Gun Hill Road Williams Bridge-210th Street 204th Street Bedford Park Boulevard-200th Street Fordham Road-190th Street 183rd Street 180th Street Tremont Avenue-177th Street 174th Street Claremont Parkway-between 171st and 172nd Streets 169th Street 166th Street 161st Street-Saint Anne’s Avenue 3rd Avenue-156th Street 3rd Avenue-149th Street Now the 2nd Avenue Subway is underway and will bring the line to Hanover Square from Lexington Avenue-125th Street like this: Lexington Avenue-125th Street 116th Street 106th Street 96th Street-2nd Avenue 86th Street 72nd Street 55th Street Grand Central-42nd Street 34th Street 23rd Street 14th Street Houston Street Grand Street Chatham Square Seaport Hanover Square This is what I propose the Bronx portion of the line to be all the way to Hanover Square: Bronx Gun Hill Road Williams Bridge-210th Street 204th Street Bedford Park Boulevard-200th Street Fordham Road-190th Street 183rd Street 180th Street Tremont Avenue-177th Street 174th Street Claremont Parkway-between 171st and 172nd Streets 169th Street 166th Street 161st Street-Saint Anne’s Avenue 3rd Avenue-156th Street 3rd Avenue-149th Street 149th Street-Grand Concourse 138th Street-Grand Concourse Manhattan Lexington Avenue-125th Street 116th Street 106th Street 96th Street-2nd Avenue 86th Street 72nd Street 55th Street Grand Central-42nd Street 34th Street 23rd Street 14th Street Houston Street Grand Street Chatham Square Seaport Hanover Square

$26 million. If it doesn't pan out, see if PATCO defacto closes it by limiting hours as with 9-10 Locust and City Hall Camden, plus close other stops they don't like overnight. Coming up is PATCO'S 55th anniversary, February 15th. Latest price tag, $30 mln.
