From Hype to Disappointment - Season Tokens

In this video, I am gonna cover how Gameloft introduced seasonal tokens in Asphalt 9 Legends and ultimately failed to deliver on them. A lot of promises were made behind the idea of what this new currency potentially could do to justify its presence but very little was delivered and playerbase got frustrated on it. Bro, Seasonal Tokens were like extremely cheaper variants of blue tokens for me. They helped me unlock Chiron and Pininfarinna Battista, which are the 2 best S classes I have today. I even got them to 2 starts with the help of seasonal tokens and have been stuck there since. I only managed to get Chiron to 3 stars a few weeks ago

I got so many cars for cheap with season tokens, I got 6 star De Tomaso p90, XJR, Lamborghini countach , Chiron super sport 300, Agera, Nevera , CCXR, Divo, evija, aspark owl, puegeot 9x8. Nothing is as good a deal anymore so here I am crying over spilt milk.

started playing this year, so at first i had no idea what season tokens are used for, and how helpful they are, but almost in 4th round of ferrari 296 gtb gp, when i needed to make it 2 stars badly, i didnt had blue tokens but i had season tokens, and i found out that i can buy packs and star up. so i was happy i made it 2 stars and then my hopes were high as season tokens were easy to hunt and can be spent on packs, but unfortunately that was last season of them, they got removed. and my hopes to get some tokens and spent on packs were ruined, conclusion: season tokens were good i want them back.

I respect your opinion but they were headache for me as the slowed down my progress in game so much that I nearly quit the game. If you had played the game during the time you will feel the limited usage of them. By the way I also used them for good only once

Introducing multiple currencies is an online gaming trick specifically designed to milk money from players. By mixing up currencies, it becomes harder to calculate what is worth what- so the companies create increases in 'spending opportunities' by introducing more ways for u to spend. It's a con.

Season tokens were not bad but they drastically nerved the progression of a player who is not spending money on the game

The implementation of season token kind of gave me a headache tbh

Same situation because I felt the visualizations just how much they nerfed the progress for free to play players

To be honest I think they were not bad but the lack of communication and sheer randomization on part of gameloft made them look bad

they were quite helful when they debuted, but after that the offers became meh

I utilized them only in bos seasons. I 3 star rimac concept one from those pack but no offence I was not aware of this conversion thing so my club mates informed me about it that's when I did the spending

The conversation rate was tied to lp ownership, which means you have to spend money to get a better rate to then spend them on packs. If they were still in the game, you would always have to buy the Legend pass to get the 6% conversation rate. In other words, it was a way to get players to buy the legend pass.

Considering how hostile gameloft is towards F2Ps i slightly doubt that Gameloft phased out seasonal tokens based on community feedback. Blue tokens is Gameloft's flagship currency in Asphalt 9 and while many players didn't know about conversion thing in Asphalt 9, i was and hence i didn't spend my seasonal tokens because their conversion at the season's end got me handful of tokens. I like to think that some higher up at gameloft got paranoid about how this could affect their monetization model, posted about their removal and many people not realising how useful the seasonal tokens could be went with their descision. Just some cunning business practices in the end since gameloft wants people to pay for tokens.
