Another good video. It makes my day when you post a video. It was so amusing to see the horses so wary of coming inside in case you shut them up again. I am looking forward to seeing the muck spreading, I am hoping that you use it to fertilise the hay meadows. It is interesting that you now prefer the mud to the ice. It is nice to hear that one of the owners comes and rides their horse even during the winter.

I've been dealing with ice too. My horses finally got to go out in the front paddock today! Colder tomorrow so they'll be out back again then. It's smaller, flatter, and less icy, on the south side of the barn.

Good video. Glad you guy's are rid of most of your ice in the field. Our field's are still thick with snow/ice. Our driveway is starting to thaw, but refreshes so it's turning into a long sheet of ice, instead of just around the vehicle's.

I took care of my granddaughter's horse while they're away at HS Rodeo. Their old horse needed doctoring and meds but he's an old 'outside' horse and doesn't like being shut in. He was SO sad, head in the corner and pawing. Once he was better, I was able to let him out. Woo hoo, what a rodeo he put on!!!🤣

I've always wondered why... with all that mud... why they didn't plant grass seed, for instance, in the mud while the horses are in another pasture. Keep them off it for a couple of weeks while it sprouts up and then put them in the new pasture and seed the other one. That way you could have something constantly growing in any given pasture rather than just all mud. If that makes sense.

Because grass doesn't sprout in the winter. They actually have many acres of grass in spring and summer, plenty for grazing. I see your point though.

All the horses were excited to get out of the stables and straight they think their going to get stuck in their stalls and not get to come out poor things. Mystery horse is skywalker. Watch the weather we got slammed with heavy rain an flooding then around 7 o’clock tonight the temperature going to drop then 3 inches of snow and ice here in Indiana. And it looks like it’s heading your way .

I love your show snd you spot on w how you all do things. HOW THE philosophy of bedding in horses stalls. There is no way professional barns don’t use bedding. A horse does not like laying down on their urine. It makes sores and the horse will not rest in the stalls. You are looking for excuses when it boils down to: don’t want to spend money on bedding and labor. It’s so nasty, would you lay down in it? It’s just nasty n
