Love the excitement you have talking about your work, this is the kind of love we as students should have in any project we do. I think our universities should sponsor more students competitions and push us to start participating, I mean yes anything falls from the sky but maybe universities could have a great role in this kind of activities. A very big hug from Italy, hope you're doing good!

Thank you for noticing! More than the actual idea - the whole experience, and passion that it leaves in your career is worth it. I know some universities do collaborate with competition organizers to do such events, but for sure we need it in all of them!

I have to say, last year I have participated in some countrywide competitions, all Lost but watching the winners giving interviews, looking at awarded designs and listening to the jury , I found it very eye opening and I changed my approach to design and competition. Gained that onowledge, Im preparing to this year competitions hoping to make better projects

Así es! La mayoría de veces se pierde, pero eso no significa que el proyecto no se pueda utilizar después, o que fue trabajado perdido

Love the honestly of this! Especially to see the other benefits from taking part in a competition, like you said a feature on Archdaily is a win in itself! Loving the content!

I'm really amazed at how you create your videos nowadays! I wanna know what software do you use for your presentations? I hope you create part 2 of tips about online presentation. This would help everyone!

I am fascinated too by the idea of the tree which has the most of things going on in the brunches and let an open space at “ground floor”. I don’t think however that this idea always applies; for instance in your fine project one problem might be the space that it creates at ground level could be too shadowy, low quality and potentially dangerous. Great idea and realisation anyway guys! I can see the tree idea well suited for a skyscraper in a dense urban environment where the public/green space is scarse and it can be accommodated at the lower levels; at the same time the footprint of a skyscraper is slim enough to avoid huge overshadowed areas.

Thanks Francesco! For sure in retrospective there are some things I would’ve refined in the idea and development. Cheers!

What are the softwares which we require to participate in any competition. I do have Ideaa and design but I don't know how to make my submissions for my competitions...

Una vez leí que para ganar "un" concurso debes, por fuerza, haber perdido varios, pero al final queda el aprendizaje que te servirá para mejorar a futuro. Así que siempre habrá algo de ganancia durante el trayecto.

Starting from what semester are we at least worthy to enter the competition? To see also the basic science that we must first master

My first competition was in fifth semester, but I wish I would’ve entered earlier. I think my the more chance you get to practice the better

At least what materials should we know before we actually enter a competition? At least we have all the basics to apply in the competition. Thanks a lot.

If it's an affordable housing contest, you have to propose an affordable way to build the houses, with the resources to build those branch-shaped structures you could build another 100 houses...sorry for be a heckler...but, still...you are my master jedi in the architectural representation.

haha, no worries Jair, I mean, of course, it's not viable at all. But in ideas competitions that is a bit of the fun right? Trying to dream what others won't. For viable in-budget ideas we will always have the regular go-to architects...so no regrets from this side haha.
