They ight. The renders could’ve been better. But still a nice project nonetheless.

Great effort to a very ambitious project. The idea of osmosis seemed only a rhetorical device for the project. It didn't travel too far from the obvious comparison of a train station to a facilitator of movement. Doubling the transportation hub to what seems more like a commercial hub also begs the question of just what kind of osmosis the station is doing at the urban scale. Is it truly aiding a movement that was lacking in the city? It seems to be present more potential to attract longer stays to encourage consumption.

You know that's actually what I was thinking too. Sorry I know you commented this a year ago lol, but thanks for bringing that up because I could see the aspects of her presentation that weren't fully fleshed out. I wonder if they gave her a critique of her project afterwards. Ah well, it's still cool lol.

this is very helpful, i always had an issue with project presentation, but this shows that a well thought out project can do so much with very simple presentation graphics

I used this before as a reference for an architectural design and concept here. It was very useful 😌 and i loved the idea

Currently, in my 3rd year, I aspire to be like her T-T The presentation sounds natural, confident, and easy to understand, not to mention the incredible illustrations she shows that aren't complicated and distracting to look at (as I often find it hard to focus on looking at the slides and listen attentively).

This is exactly how transit-oriented developments work. Now time to do it in the US as well.

it looks like she modeled the building in Revit or Archicad. And for the diagrams probably Illustrator.

Since japan subway stations usually have an attendant helping customers for every fare line, the design will require at least 8 attendants just beside the fare gates, in addition to other staff.

For this to be the work of a graduate student the graphic style is pretty lacking more precission.

It looks exactly like every other new station in the world. It seems the same design and esthetics are copied over and over and over again. This one looks expensive, confusing and a bit dangerous. There will be many people walking like automatons in what it looks like a mall and they are going to be too close to the subway. Not a great design, that's for sure.

Yeah, since there are many attractions inside the this 'mall' type area, there will be increased congestion which goes against this idea of Osmosis, one of the basics of osmosis is that the molecules move from one side to another through a semipermeable membrane, until EQUILIRBIUM is reached, in essence this can be applied in reality, how would she be able to keep that consistency of equilibrium ? how will she prevent pedestrian congestion?
