After 45 years of marriage and 4 children, we now have 12 grandchildren that are a true blessing and one of the many reasons why we cannot do what you all are doing because we feel we would just miss too much. One of the reasons we decided to do what we are doing is because we were unable to get much time with our granddaughter (at the time, now a grandson also) and it was too painful being so close but not getting much time as others did. So we had a very boring routine life, so we decided to live our vision while we were still living and able. We still get to do FaceTime and occasional visits. Not everyone situation is the same though unfortunately. They are a bundle of joy, that’s for sure. 🧡😊🤓

Hi from England! My wife and I visited The Field of Dreams in 2013, it’s certainly changed somewhat! When we were there we met Donny Lansing who originally owned the property and he explained how he was first approached by the film company and how he thought they were nuts!! He was a lovely guy and spent a good 20 minutes chatting with us. It was certainly less busy, we had another 3 cars in the parking lot only all the while we were there, we both hit balls and also walked out of the corn. It was a hoot! We got to say we love your videos and thank you for all the info you give and 24:06 the humour you provide. We always holiday in the USA and yours and other You Tubers give us a lot of ideas. Yes, we did a breakdown about 3 years ago or so, that you can find by searching our videos. It is to give everyone an example but that can drastically change depending on what each person/couple spends and how often they travel for fuel expenses. Lots of factors but it gives an idea.

Great video as usual! Being a southern Iowan originally, loved hearing about your time back in the home state. I lived in Dyersville from 1993-2017, so I call it my second home town. I worked in the tourism industry there so am very familiar with FOD. Door County is a pretty place to visit. Will look forward to seeing your new wheels eventually! :)

Great video! So enjoyable to watch! I visited there in my van a few years ago. I had a waterside camp site at the Peninsula State Park for a few nights. I hung out during the day at the Fish Creek harbor where I parked my van for free. I enjoyed the water views there and walked through the shops in town. I drove out to Ephraim one day to get a famous chocolate malt at Wilson’s Ice Cream restaurant. I saw you pass by there on your video! Safe travels!

Yes, we walked up to Wilson’s one night also, just didn’t eat there or film it because we already ate. We parked there as well. No fee for parking. Beautiful area. 👍🏻

Happy (belated) Anniversary! Door county , it was great video, but just glimpse of the beautiful area. Good plan to cover more with the trolly! I am Rhode Island and my Husband from Iowa but we also live and manage two motels in Algoma , (also live in Green Bay ) call the door to the door county) 😮 a hidden gem right on Lake Mi, little town (has a great winery, great cafe talezo cafe (healthy food) brewery, charter fishing for salmon.. Algoma was on your exit sign with Sturgeon. Mention RI only because Door county is New England of the Midwest. If you go back in the fall you will be amazed .Did a great job in your very limited time .. Thank you

If you want a fish boil, try to get into The Old Post Office restaurant as they are the only ones who debone your fish for you. 👍🏻

Brian, do you not use an EMS (surge/over/under voltage protection) between the 30 amp outlet on the pedestal and your power cord? And it looks like you don’t use a water softener, either. I’ve never heard of a fish boil. How was it?

You do not need an extra EMS with the Grech models. They have a very high quality one built in located back by the inverter and batteries that protects as well as your high end EMS systems that you plug in at the pedestal. I confirmed this with the engineer at Grech RV and he said it is overkill to use a second one. We have put it through the test on a bad pedestal with low voltage drops and it cut off the power to protect the system. Some of your low end EMS systems will not do that. This fish boil was fun to watch and the food was decent at the one we went to but heard the one at “The Old Post Office” is better.

We still need to check Field of Dreams off our bucket list. We also love Door County so much that we're thinking of retiring there. My wife and I are about 3.5 hrs from Door County and go there a couple times a year, and my daughter and her family are just 2 hrs from there and go half a dozen times a year alternating between camping and hotel stays. It's a shame the weather wasn't more cooperative for your trip there.

Wow guys we were at Oneida Casino’s RV park that same night and were in site #3 and we could tell from your video you were in site 5 two stalls west of us! What a small world! We’ve been following you guys for a while now. We also drove up to Door County the same day you guys did. We are from Fond du Lac, WI and just love heading up there with our RV whenever we can. That same day we had an RV drive by us on Hwy 42 and threw a huge rock into our Mojito Jeep Wrangler Toad which shattered our windshield. We were just out for a joy ride that day to get some fresh cherries and it now turns out the windshield has to be replaced. So those cherries ended up costing us over $500. Never imagined I’d ever pay that much for a couple of pints of cherries. But all is good and no one injured, ha! I did spot your Gretch RV in the IMAC parking lot which must have been before you checked in to park. I was going to comment to my wife as we drove by where you were parked that hey there is a van like LivinRVision but I just thought that’s silly to even mention it to her, I mean what are the odds. But now that we saw your video today it confirmed it really was you two. Hope you enjoyed your time in Door County and darn how we wish we would have bumped into you guys. That Saturday night we had a huge class A between us and after the Annual Green Bay Packers 5k Run/walk we being in our 60’s were a bit bushed that night so didn’t venture out to walked around like the other two nights we stayed there. Otherwise we probably would have had the opportunity to meet and chat with you. We very much appreciate the videos you produce and do such a wonder job with. So sorry you went up all those stairs at Eagle’s tower and then down the ramp. But you did figure it out after the fact to go the opposite way so that was good, ha! Maybe you can reply to us on this post in the future if you come back through Door County and we’d love to go get some pie with you!!😊❤

Depends on our work schedule. We work 40+ hours a week, and traveling to destinations takes up a lot of time as well. If we have a chance to enjoy the outdoors in an evening or on the weekend then we do.

Every time I watch your videos you make me change my mind from getting the Grech Turismo to getting the kind you have the Strada. It’s big and beautiful. And you I’m assuming you haven’t had any issues parking it?

The only time we have run into issues parking is at a parking lot that had bushes or a steep incline behind us as we back into the spot. You have to hang the back end over until your rear tires touch the curb. Or if there are not any middle double spots left. Otherwise, we are usually able to find a place 99% of the time.

Yes we could have just stayed in the regular parking lot. In fact Brian wanted to but I wanted to be with the other RVs and it just felt safer over there. Just my preference🤓and it was only $20. Fish boil was good! But if you go there try to get into The Old Post Office restaurant as they are the only ones who debone the fish for you. The cherry pie was very yummy too!! 🍒🥧😋

Right across the street from the casino at Adventureland Campground. Great location to stay, but they could use some updates. Better rates for longer stays. It’s Altoona, a suburb of Des Moines.

We are currently ion a Era 70X and looking at the Grech. When Michelle is working in the back while driving, is there a lot of bouncing with pot holes and such? I (Michelle) do not work in the back while Brian is driving. Brian works at the same time I do so he couldn’t anyway. He actually works longer hours than I do. I understand what you are asking though. Someone with just a laptop or maybe an iPad might be able to. But a mouse is hard to control when moving because I have tried that when we have had to move camping sites. But I haven’t tried on a long drive. It is not as smooth in the back as sitting in the front seats.
