Uhhhh thank y’all for liking the video, I’m sorry if my drawing is scary lmao. About the character: this is a drawing of a fanpro character. Fanpro was an old community project I participated in a few years ago on tumblr and the concept is basically that ppl could submit character designs that everyone could use. Think “free for all” adoptables. Most of fanpros are crudely drawn so ppl can reinterpret them a lot more differently. Whenever I have an art block I look up the database of about over 1000 fanpros and pick a random number. You can find random fanpro designs to draw here: fanpro-randomizer.tumblr.com/

Thank you for sharing the progress of this painting. It is a really pretty and cute piece. Also it is.. kinda helpful to see the progress to go from lineart to painting for me since I would like to do that but I never know how to approach this for characters.

AkinaTakesora I feel ya on this, especially when you don’t take the time to clean up the line art 😅. Though, after trying it more often, you might find that you’re able to slip into the painting mindset more easily. I think the hardest part is switching the mindset and choosing a light source and staying consistent to it.

Man when I watch artist draw over their line art or on one layer I feel incredibly untalented lol I've tried my hand at it every once in awhile and every time as I steadily go over my lines my picture turns into some sort of deformity... @@Foervraengd yes i know, like me sometimes i use references on posing and angles, but ive never tried to use reference on coloring, that's why i never improved, i just follow tutorials how to do this and that, maybe nextime I'll use reference on color shading too,😊 im new to digital art and to be honest im still not familiar on some digital tools😅 this video helps me a lot ,😉👍

Tip do shadeing first and then color your character with one color that reprrsents the character useing the magic wand then start to ad contrasting colors and extra shadeing
