Hey man !! I just wanted to reach out to say thank you. Even though I am a complete stranger you have changed my life. My whole mental outlook on my long covid has completely changed because of you and I honestly can’t thank you enough. From your articles and KZbin videos have given me so much positive emotions towards finally fighting this illness. Same kind of story in our age group a 27 year old previously working out 4-5 times a week to being stuck on the couch. But I can confidently say I am on the better side of it. No idea on percentages yet as it’s still early days currently 2 months into my long covid journey but with the right steps I feel I will beat it over the next few months

@@jcr9065 hey! God it feels like a lifetime ago when I commented on this video. Have been through so much since then in terms of my long covid journey. Got reinfected 3-4 times since then thankfully no new symptoms all just felt like the flu was fine after a week each time. I’m about 90-95% recovered. Still having issues with exercise and anxiety but feel like I am on the other side of it now.

I want to share my experience. They are definitely on point. In early 2021, I was able to recover after 6 months by retraining my mind. I had every symptom you could think of. The symptoms that persisted the longest were fatigue and GI issues. I took every supplement you could think of but nothing worked. I also went to every doctor you could think of and everything came back normal. I didn’t do an anti histamine diet, but at that time switched to keto and temporarily did carnivore. At some point, I got tired of the diet and wanted to look forward to something. I had lost a ton of weight and ate very “healthy” so I didn’t mind. I also got the courage to not lay in bed all the time. I started using my kettlebells at home and gradually got better over time. I think what caused my long Covid were work, the news, and ending a 5 year serious relationship. Fast forward to today, and I am once again experiencing long Covid symptoms after reinfection. I’m a month in and I tried taking supplements again and even did a 90 hour water fast. Rewatching this video made me remember what got me out of my long Covid. It wasn’t the vitamins or any medicine, it was a change in mindset. It does take time to rewire the mind, but I’m optimistic and I truly believe I will overcome this illness once more. I learned not to be afraid, not doubt and have faith. Stop listening to the negative comments stop researching every symptom. The mind is very powerful, but we do have a choice in getting better. It’s not an easy road, but it’s definitely humbling. I’ll try and give an update in the near future. I’ll repost this in other videos in case someone is looking for hope.

Thank god for videos like this. Long hauled for a year. All the same symptoms. Luckily work was shut down so I could spend 2 hours a day at work, then sleep the rest of the day. Slowly got better, got my first shot, and then caught covid a second time. Second time has been way worse. Complete pain, migrains, kidney pain, every muscle and joint hurt. Had to quit my job and spent 2 months suffering and doing the googling and youtube searches. Found some of these UK videos and a mayo clinic study on vitamine C+B complex and within a week felt amazing. Four good days and then on day five I woke up with the worst pain in my head I've experienced in my life. Felt like someone hit me with a hammer. Every day got worse and worse. Bed bound, brain fog so bad I couldn't even use a computer. Back to googling. Found the MCAS histamine info. Took about 8 hours to get out the door and walked 2 blocks to the corner store and got an antihistamine. Made it home, took it. Within 20 mins the migrain was gone. Over the next four hours all the body and joint pain went away. Then learned about the diet and oh crap, all my foods were high histamine, except had already given up dairy 2 years before. Been on the low histamine diet for a month and slowly getting better. Any of those foods, even a few bites and feel the brain fog and body/head pain coming back in less than an hour. Giving up my daily full english breakfast and tacos has been the worst part.

We will get better soon ! Btw guys im 3 months in and as for the chronic fatigue and the brain fog it’s not like the first month now i walk about 8 to 12 km a day and sometimes i run, i found that what makes me relapse is sleep, if i don’t sleep well i wake up with a severe headache and the tremors and fatigue are back, so sleep guys. The only thing that lingers is the tinnitus and i think its because i focus on it too much and it bothers but i feel like it will get better. Courage guys❤

Greetings Brotha from Southern CA USA .. your stories are inspiring. I'm beyond tired of this shit I am in month 5 and have noticed a big difference compared to the first few months. I can say the biggest issues I have left are PEM and SOB ..some body wave type feelings flare up as well but the main 2 are the ones I listed ..I do Intermittent fasting 16hours every day and I take a boat load of supps.. did you ever feel like you were taking too many supps?...I mean they definitely help diminish flare ups along side H1 blockers for histamine..also I'm having lower back pain Acute and to the left mainly ..I'm 34 and was a Gym rat until Covid hit me ... I feel like an old man lately its very depressing..more so going from being active to complete turtle pacing

I'd say I'm 98% right now at month 11 .. this whole battle is more physical in the beginning and then mixed of mental and physical the end so it takes some work .. @@Liindaax3 Sorry to hear brotha .. yeah you would think us GymRat/Athletes would be a little more bulletproof but guess not . As far as what I did, I threw the kitchen sink at so to speak, Different supps but if I was to boil it down As far as meds - H1 and Or H2 Blockers like zyrtec and pepcid in the states. Helped my breathing in the beginning and tolerance to certain foods and the whole histamine issue. Vit D3 with K2 All B Vitamins And The biggest one is NAC or straight Glutathione - I take them orally but IV treatments to skip the gut and straight to blood stream is better once in a while if available to you and affordable- Hydration obviously- Other than that don't label yourself with the titles, try to sike the mind and distract - also Intermittent fasting helped as far as the diet portion goes 16/8 Some have success using SSRIs (Anxiety/Psych) meds-which makes sense to the mental aspect of this the mind adapted feeling like garbage and fight or flight mode I also discovered I became hypogonadal- hormones jacked up..specifically testosterone was super low.. recently jumped on TRT which helped me get back into tolerating my Workouts again without Relapse But that's a whole different ball game you'd wanna check your bloods.. you know how it goes individual basis All that and Time

Thanks for the channel Harry. I am former competitive tennis player, and was playing and teaching 2-3 hours a day before 6 weeks ago when I got covid. Most of my doctor's have been clueless when you tell them how terrible you still feel after 6 weeks. I had covid pneumonia, got some prednisone, and than docs were just like good luck. I still have insane muscle pain and tell my doc and he is just like this is part of covid. To me it is not normal if you were mega active 2-3 hours on a tennis court pre-covid and now walking up and down stairs feels like I squatted 100 reps and barely did anything. If you have any resources on best recovery supplements, etc. that would be great as well. I have been eating an insance anti-inflammatory diet for the past 6 weeks, but still weak and muscle pain. Maybe others can shed light on getting back to normal and when do things get back to normal. Thanks again for the great videos and great comments from your subscribers, etc.

I had the same, first shot helped a little, second not so much - in my opinion I think its a combination of placebo/ distraction of immune system but doesn't make that much difference either way. Personally I won't be getting my booster until its required for travel etc. as I think with having had covid plus 2 vaccines I'm ok for now! But thats just my personal preference!

I was doing really well and got the booster shot and it made me go backwards again , why did this happen ? Is this an association type of thing ? A mental fear of the vaccine ?

In the opening few minutes you described exactly what i'm feeling. The difference for me is I was seriously ill and in hospital for a month. I've been out 2 months now, but can can only manage around 200m for walks, maybe 8 minutes or so. After this, My battery hardly has enough left for making meals etc. The anxiety and googling is exactly what I'm doing daily and it feeds my anxiety! I wonder, I'd love to fine others who were hospitalized and seriously ill as I do not yet know if I have long covid or post viral fatigue. Prior to all this, I was a 5k runner, cyclist and keen hiker!

@@gillsobczyk2809 I'm a lot better 12 months on from illness, I can walk 2 miles and cycle 15 miles on an ebike. I'm not back to full fitness, but doing light training 3 times a week now. I still suffer random leg heavyness, but it does not hold me back

@@gillsobczyk2809 Yeah. I'm really hoping to start 5k in december. I can just about manage 4k walking now, and after a full month of walking I can climb a flight of stairs without getting out of breath! I still get leg heavyness and aches if I walk too far or stand for a long time, more in my right than left leg. However my cardio vascular system keeps improving. I just need more endurance now, and switch between 1 month walking and.1 month cycling as the latter helps with resistance training. I do yoga too. I'm much better but still miles away from where I was prior to illness. how you doing these days?

What happens if I don’t have religion or relapses i just have this fucking constantly. Okay sometimes I feel a bit better but they are moments more than days. My fitness is actually not as impacted as other people my symptoms are basically constant pressure headache vertigo and air hunger & fatigue, but but the pressure headache is the most debilitating of all of them it’s fucking horrible and I have it 24/7 every second of everyday day for 14 months now. The head stuff gets much worse when I try to actually do more than just stay home, the other day I had to go to hospital for a tilt table test and this brought my symptoms so ducking high I was bed ridden and deeply depressed for the whole week after… it’s just very upsetting and I feel like my brain is damaged or something because the progress is just so fucking slow. I absolutely hate this positivity mindset thing when it’s considered as THE thing that.brings your health back because I believe there is an inherent natural capacity for your body to recover depending on how badly it was damaged. And this includes an inherent capacity to push yourself to recover. I believe it’s more like the body let’s you do more.
