It's stories like these that bring so much hope for a full recovery from long covid. I've had long covid for 1.5yrs and so much of these kinds of stories resonate with me. I didn't catch her name , but she mentions some kind of brain retraining program that she did that was helpful. Would you be able to get me a link or website on this program? It'd be much appreciated. Thank you to you and to your guests for doing what youre all doing ❤

For my own transition, the toughest bit was to get used to the civilian world's dismissive attitude towards my military experience. "Oh he was in the army. He must be an uneducated grunt. " "He must be a disciplinarian and he must be narrow minded about everything." "He doesn't know anything about the business world and what being businesslike means" "Business schools are the ones who know leadership. The military only knows about following orders". People around me didn't change until I started accepting invitations to give talks about my military experience at business organizations. And I was frank with them. 1. You think discipline just means obeying orders? That's just obedience. Discipline means having both the foresight and motivation to identify problems before they arise and without being told, and knowing how to solve those problems with your training. This is what you lot in the business world are supposed to do. 2. Business schools are the ones who know leadership? Frankly anyone can write an airport best-seller. If the things they preach don't work, the worst that could happen is your business doesn't make any money. If the leadership lessons the army teaches don't work, people die.

She's probably menopausal. She's the right age. And, that's the cause of the fatigue, mind fog, feeling lethargic. And, menopausal women are more likely to experience ME/LC. If anyone wants to know more I can provide sources. Please, gals - if you're about 35 - 50 - you're very likely perimenopausal or in menopause. On the younger end, it's unlikely but not impossible. At the top end you're definitely perimenopausal and your symptoms can also be attributed or made worse by this. Just like our periods/mid-cycle can hit us hard.

I got Covid March 2020, and LC since, so much of what you went through is what ive been dealing with. Orthostatic hypotension, dysautonomia, so much fatigue and ao many symptoms across my system. I was very active prior, hiking, running in the mountains, rollerblading, biking, weights, organic keto diet and my job also required me to walk about 5 miles a shift, outside in the AZ heat, worked 3 jobs. That , to iI couldn't getout of bed to shower, or that was the big effort of the day. Slowly tried to increase activity, would see progress then crash. Then, got the JJ, had an immediate reaction of fever, flop sweat, Covid symptoms all over again but worse. I do all the things,so many supplements, methylene blue, nac, vinegar, iver, yoga nidra for nervous system, carnivote diet...cant keep any progress, it feels like i have multiple autoimmune diseases at once, definitely do not feel like its my body. And the feeling like you're dying because every cell in your body feels poisoned. No Dr has been helpful, bounced around from specialist to specialist, no help.
@revelation1215
@revelation1215 Ай бұрын
You have to go back to basics. If your body is reactive to foods, try a low histamine diet and start with just a few easy to digest foods. The first step is to get the inflammatory response down. Eliminate supplements unless you feel like they are definitely helping. Most people feel like they don’t help much in the end and often make things worse because the body is hyper reactive. For low blood pressure, try adding a little sea salt to your food. Avoid extreme diets, and detoxes, they just make things worse. Strive to first stabilize the body and create safety.

@@revelation1215I have decided that inflammation is key for me after almost 4 years of being debilitated. Starting with a short water fast increasing incrementally has helped me. I’m trying to stay with a warm ACV with curcumin (95%) + bl. pepper + ginger everyday has helped with internal inflammation. I’m going to try augmented NAC next. Been taking NAC intentionally for about 3 years & it has helped keep my lungs clear but I’m willing to try this augmented version. My progress has been slow & if I try to pretend I’m fine & work as normal - I end up back in bed! No help from docs in my area either. HIV drug anyone? No thanks! I do use Nattokinase but I find I need to cycle off every month for about a week. I was very fit, worked very hard physically, no weight issues, cut sugar years ago, healthy keto as well - no bread at all, occasional Italian pasta at home (no American wheat products). Very food aware so no packaged foods. It’s weird. Hope you’re able to improve soon!

Did we know at what tissue temperature did SARS COV2 better replicate ? Why ? Because german virologist Christian Drosten suggest that SARS COV2 better replicate at lower tissue temperature (at TWiV 659 at min29) Theoretically higher mucouseal respiratory temperature protect us against Covid19.

Regarding vaccines, sure standard protein vaccines have been around for decades but not MRNA. Pfizer’s was the first to get FDA approval for covid. And now if you follow latest publications like from merogenomics channel. He was part of research on psuedouridines, showing the synthetic additives could be responsible for speeding up cancer cells. Point being that’s just one example of new science that was forced upon us without enough research or understanding of the long term consequences and more stuff like turbo cancers are now being discovered. It’s not good! I would argue against that commenter that there aren’t researchers looking at MRNA vaccines, that’s simply not true.

in 2021 I underwent a stem cell transplant for lymphoma. (lots of Chemo) in 2022 I got Covid and could not shake the active infection for 4 months. I am now just recently understanding that my symptoms when I try to bike or work are probably not the recovery from cancer but the recovery from long covid.

I'm not sure about this theory. You've said previously that charities will likely be the main source of funding. Most people donate to charities for purely emotional reasons, not because of cold, rational economic analysis. I think we need much more emotive advertising to draw attention to the very worst suffering of long-COVID/ME/CFS
@harryboby7563
@harryboby7563 2 ай бұрын
I think it needs to be multi-pronged. A strategic & engaging approach from charity to appeal to those who might donate, and a rational economic approach to demonstrate the economic impact to governments. Even in diseases with large charity funding, a big chunk also still comes from government, and having them onboard & feeling necessary to invest would be a good thing also

I've had severe LC symptoms since March 2020 - about 5 weeks ago I saw a Dr on youtube say AUGMENTED NAC had been shown to break down the virus in LC (I'd already tried regular NAC with no improvement) so I googled, bought some, not holding out a lot of hope, and 5 weeks on I am seeing big improvements. I felt worse before things started to improve though - ( very feverish, cough coming out and sleeping loads for the first couple of weeks) . Still going with it and hopeful it might take me to 100% recovered. Thought I'd share in case it might help someone else suffering.
