Just getting settled in and making it more like home. With the way the country is shutting down I may not be able to get subcontractors in here at this time.

Hello Joe, I remember buying a Smokey Joe when I lived in an apartment in South Mpls, used it year round for about 10 years until someone swiped it. I then got a 22 inch Weber and still have it today. I did replace the grills a couple of times over 30 years. I'm in Phoenix now and use propane most of the time, but I still love cooking my turkeys on the Weber. Thanks for the videos.

Things are crazy down in the whole state of LA (I talked with my sister in law down there today, Mar. 23) with an explosion of cases of the virus because people there aren't being careful enough, so you be EXTRA CAREFUL and get out of there SOON. Also, that smoked boudin looked good!
@jgjg38484 жыл бұрын
Be calm everyone & realize that there will be a spike in the number of cases now because people are now being tested wherein nobody was being tested before. Most of those testing positive now have had it for a long time & are asymptomatic. We have more tests available & a lot of people are getting those drive up tests...therefore much higher number of cases. Everyone stay safe & healthy & do what you can to steer clear of people if you're able to.
@noocemiller60054 жыл бұрын
@JG_JG I am calm and have been safely hunkered down for 3 weeks per state of Indiana recommendations. Population of IN: 6.6 million; confirmed cases in IN, 201 with 7 deaths. Population of Louisiana: 4.6 million; confirmed cases in Louisiana, 1,172 confirmed cases with 34 deaths. This data suggests too many people in LA are disregarding social distancing. Contact with infected individuals results in transmission and active cases. Also, only ill people are being tested, asymptomatic people cannot simply drive up and request a test, even in Louisiana. I am in the medical field.
@noocemiller60054 жыл бұрын
JG JG Louisiana’s increase in cases curve now resembles Italy’s, in the US LA is only behind Washington and New York, and this is so even with a relatively small population. This is not “because of more testing.”

Great video as usual Joe....thank you. I think it's a great idea to post more shorter videos during this time while people are sitting at home with not much to do. Hey...Have you ever tried microwaving you potatoes rather than waiting all that time for them to cook in the oven? I put them in a plastic grocery bag and nuke 'em for about 5 minutes. works great, saves a little energy and a little aluminum foil.

Thank you, Joe. Like some of the others have said, it's nice to see life proceed as normal. We're trying to stay close to home to honor the government's social distancing suggestion but it makes me feel confined. I understand the panicked feeling you got when you discovered the broken truck part. Thanks again for the distraction from this crazy stuff that is going on right now.
