So great to see you!! I’ve missed you! I completely understand about your kids’ father. I left my husband of over 20 years and my kids dad on June 14. I finally decided to choose me. Nothing changed bc he didn’t want it to change on his end. I met him when I was 19 and I’m 45 now so I’m not the same person and as much as I wanted things to work between us I had to come to terms with the fact that it isn’t meant to be. The fact that we’ve been surviving on water and chips for the last few days isn’t even enough if a reason for me to go back to that relationship. After nearly two decades, 5 children and a near death experience that man does not care about her nor her wants. His sole presence is to control her by keeping her pregnant. Because he knows how devoted she is. A few cards, flowers, dates will pacify her before he’s back to his ways. Unfortunately this cycle will continue unless our good sister chooses herself and stops romanticizing the idea that one day this man will change. He accused her of cheating while she was pregnant. Like we’re supposed to believe he was celibate the entire time they were separated. The insecure male ego is so fragile. Hopefully she finds her self worth and moves on for good. Because one thing I’ve witnessed, getting pregnant will not make a man stay, commit or happily marry you.
