You brought back good memories for me Robert :) My family and I are Australian and we visited Williams and the Grand Canyon in 2014 and being a Williams myself, I enjoy the town immensely ! Especially going for breakfast opposite the bar where you had hamburgers. We tucked into a big breakfast but then we saw the cake cabinet and I am a sucker for pumpkin and cherry pie :))) (not available in Australia) So I had both at 10.00am in the morning Yummo ! Then we headed up to the North side and stayed in the 100+ year old lodge , great atmosphere and a beaut restaurant ! But to see the Grand Canyon change colour all day was unbelievable ! The vastness of the Canyon is mind blowing !!!! This beautiful mysterious canyon change my life , I wanted to travel the world and see more ,which I have since that day ! Now in 2023 I hope to become a American Citizen and set up base in Texas yeehah !

Arizona gets a lot of snow in the winter in some parts. We even have skiing! 😄
@C-TOS3 жыл бұрын
@@CactusAtlas I totally forgot the mountains' sky resorts. I was on Mount Lemmon a few years ago on late May and it was in the 70s at the top. I sort of still got amazrf at the amount of snow Arizona gets compared to middle and southern Georgia, last time I saw snow down here was in 2018.
@CactusAtlas3 жыл бұрын
@@C-TOS Arizona is definitely a wacky place. I've been here just over 10 years (my husband almost 20) and it still boggles my mind when we drive north from Phoenix and see snow. One October we went to the Snowbowl to see fall color and were still running our a/c at our house and up north on the chairlifts they were firing up the snow machines! 😂

Very nice video! I went to that area years ago and one of my dreams is to hike across the Grand Canyon from the north rim to the south rim before I die. I have been to Sliding Rock State Park and it is better in the summer because you have a water slide in the rocks! Very cool! Just be careful because the wet rock is very slippery. We saw a young woman slip and fall. Thankfully, she was alright. I also hiked to the top of Humphrey's Peak. It took two tries in separate years but I made it!

There you go following us again! LOL! We were there in 2016. Sadona, there is a valley road that looked fantastic with folks camping by a river(?) creek? We drove threw the Painted Mountains and the Petrified Forest, Winslow Arizona, some song about that place, and almost skied in Flagstaff. We stayed for a night at one of those lodges you filmed and got a T-Shirt at Hermits Rest. (Dang, been calling it Hermits Nest forever. You did not see the huge Ravens that sore there in the summer.) We hope to go back. It was the trip my wife got the RV idea. But this was, (queue song) Driving, driving, in my rental- SUV, where I want to be, when I have to be back in Florida by next week! LOL! Cheers

Love the Grand Canyon and thouroughly enjoyed the video. We visited there on a cross country bike trip and I was able to hike down Bright Angel Trail to the river. It was a little warmer when we were there in June. Even after all that biking I was still sore after the hike. We never got to Sedona but it was awesome seeing through your eyes. Saw your video of your new bike and love it. We now have ebikes and use them on all our camping trips.

Some good views of Grand Canyon. Only been there once, and I hope to go back, partly thanks to this video :) Years ago, I was really unhappy at my job and I was thinking strongly of moving to Sedona. That lasted for about a month. It could have been a good idea because I'm a lifelong artist, and it's an awesome place for an artist, but I am not established in a gallery there. So, I stayed where I was and finally retired from my job. I still have not actually been to Sedona, except seen it in videos. I'm pretty familiar with it only like that. It's a great place, but I think it basically takes a bit of money to live there. Like Santa Fe, a better place for art, really, overall. Anyway, you've made some interesting videos here and there :) I mostly like the Southwest and Pacific Northwest. Probably because those are my favorite parts of the USA.
