What was your favourite larp location so far? And do let me know what you thought of this at-a-larp video! It was one big experiment for me!

SPACESHIP! *Ahem* Aside from the Mercuur, which is of course very unique as a larp location, I've also had great times larping in an old WWI bunker in Belgium, which doubled as an Australian 'Reform Colony' and cave complex for that event, and at a small country estate in France, doubling as an Indonesian Hotel (for the same larp). Unique locations like that can really enhance the larping experience, both because of the scenery, but also because they're not the same place you've been to as 3 different characters, and multiple events for each, so there's still a lot to discover and less experience bleed between events. I loved the footage of the larp. I felt almost... Homesick? For a moment seeing all the familiar characters just going about their business. I would definitely be in favour of more field reports in future content!

Yes! I have been in some locations that were plain rooms built up in a very cool way. But this one just works really well from the moment you walk up to it.

I remember reading about larping on this decommissioned ship a few years back, I'm so jealous! Thanks for the great video!

Thanks! The fun thing is she is still being restored bit by bit, so every time we are back there are new things to explore. I unfortunately missed it, but some others got a tour through the restored engine rooms as well.

Wow! What a great location for a Larp, it looked like a fun experience. Smuggling is a big problem everywhere, I live in the American south and alligators are protected here, but they just arrested 2 brothers for raiding nests and stealing the eggs/babies to sell on the overseas market. I'm glad you have a place where rescued reptiles can be safe. How are your snakes doing, we haven't seen them in a while. Please do more Larp vlogs, I enjoy them.

We made a pirate LARP tavern on an old mine sweeper, covering all technology with stuff of all kind. It worked as well.

Ohh that sounds really cool! Even if it was a more 'modern' ship I guess it added a lot to the immersion/feeling?

@@MarisArmoury Old mine sweepers were made of lots of wood to prevent magnetic fields. So it didn't look that modern. But it was so cool to have a real gangway and to feel it moving when crossing it. You didn't have to pretend tp be on a ship ;-) On the the quarterdeck we put up tables and banks and in the darkness we had a fine sight on the Rhine to the one side and to a small harbour an the other. By the way it was in Duisburg, in 2009 there was a report from the WDR on youtube, but they seem to have deleted it after all these years.

@@AluraHjaldisdottir Funny to hear, this ship was also an old minesweeper, and thus made from wood, but with all the grey paint and such it looked a lot more modern. Awesome to hear it was such a nicely fitting location, and having a view over the river is an extra nice bonus.
