I’ve just done this. Same age and spec etc. we use the granny charger at home currently as the battery health was 94%. As long as we keep it between 20% - 80% we hope to keep with strong charge.

The Grammy charger takes so so long, that's the only reason I don't use it..Plus I've not got an outside charger, that would be ideal if I had one. I can put it through my kitchen window but that would mean leaving it open all night. I should check my battery health tbf, I do that in the servicing thing I think, I'll have a look

Literally done the same thing as you! Start of Jan picked up a grey standard range plus and loving it so far! I think the radio you'll be able to find if you got to tune it in and everything seems to be there for me! Best case scenario for the premium connectivity is to hotspot yourself from your phone when you're and you'll have everything you'll need. Apparently I'm hearing on the 11th Feb this method may not work anymore however so will look out for updates on this
@JustStephen893 күн бұрын
Grey is such a nice colour with these. Yeh I've got the tune app, you get a month worth of free premium when you get it and sort the app out. But once the month has gone you've either got to pay for premium or hot spot or from your phone. Not sure tune will work without it? Doubt it for digital radio. 11th Feb, bloody hell, wonder what I'll have to do after that then?? I'll keep a look out, thanks for the heads up

7:45 - yeah, it drains more in the winter, but how much does it cost, and if you have the ability to plug in at home where the car parks every evening…how much does that matter? It takes no more time to plug it in, and it’s fully recharged by morning, and I bet it costs very little in extra electricity, maybe a couple of pound a week.
@JustStephen893 күн бұрын
How much does it cost to fill? Charging to 80 from 12 % I did tonight, it cost me £20 so really good. I've not got a home charger yet, I've ordered one and waiting for them to come and install. Hopefully in the next 2 weeks 🙏🏾..
@letsgoelectriclge13203 күн бұрын
welcome mate, I understand what you mean about the colour. Got similar one from Tesla in October and they are everywhere but mine has white seats. Have you got a home charger? it will help a lot in costs if you can. Well done and you will learn as you go along. The radio should work without premium.
@JustStephen893 күн бұрын
I should have waited and looked around for one with white seats aswell lol.. No not got a home charger yet, it's ordered, we're just waiting for an install date hopefully within the next 2 weeks.

Home charging will make a huge difference to you, especially if you can get an electricity provider with an off peak rate. I have Octopus GO and I pay 7p per kW between 11:30pm and 5:30am. Except for long trips, you could do all your charging at home, while you sleep, and at an extremely low rate.
@JustStephen895 күн бұрын
Yeh I can't wait to get a home charger, 29 pounds here and there is starting to add up at these superchargers. Are you in the UK? What's your range like in these conditions weather wise?
@philhartley75645 күн бұрын
@@JustStephen89 Hi Yes, I am in the UK. I am on my 2nd Audi Etron. The first was a 55 sportback and now a Q8 Etron SUV 55 in Ultra Blue... looks gorgeous when its is clean but not so easy at the moment lol. It's on 22" rims and winter tyres. I get around 260 miles in a UK winter with this wheels and tyres and near 300 in summer when I switch to my summer tyres. Went to London on Wednesday, from the North, 420 miles at 2.7 miles per kW.

You can set a schedule for heating and preconditioning the battery from inside the car, or the app once you’re set up. This will be better for the battery in cold weather. You should be getting at least 240 miles on the motorway @ 70mph
@JustStephen893 күн бұрын
I've charged it to 80% tonight, I'll keep you updated, definitely not getting 240 though.. I've got heating and stuff on aswell so I'm sure I'm losing a few miles there as well. We'll see how long it lasts

Hey man nice purchase! I was planning on getting a late 2021 Model 3. Do you know what processor the cars got? Is it the AMD Ryzen or Intel Atom?
@JustStephen89Күн бұрын
Hi, I really recommend this car. It's really nice to drive and the screen is quick and snappy. I'm not sure what processor it uses but it has to be a good one as there is a lot going on. Especially for the graphics while driving
@SaagarDXBКүн бұрын
@JustStephen89 yeah definitely interested in getting one this year. It would be good if you can find out. I believe around December 2021 they switched to Ryzen. So it would be good to see if yours has it or not.
@jonfrench71335 күн бұрын
the premium connectivity gets you a whole lot more, apple music, youtube, live traffic visualisation etc. In terms of running costs home charging will change the game. if you can get an overnight tariff of 7p per Kw hour it will cost you around £4 to fill to 270 mile range.
@JustStephen894 күн бұрын
So you'd say the premium is worth it? I can hotspot from my phone will that give me everything premium will? Yeh I can't wait for the charger to be installed, going to superchargers is great, much better price wise than all other competition, but still expensive
@Yorkshire-z5v4 күн бұрын
@@JustStephen89No. if live traffic when using navigation is important to you then you will need premium connectivity.
