I use Baby Audio Crystalline. I got it based on your review. It is so smooth. It does everything I've ever wanted out of a reverb . I like the reverb you are reviewing, but the cost is prohibitive for me and Crystalline is so good, why would I buy another one. Thanks for your review of Crystalline - I've bought most of the plug ins from Baby Audio as well. They are great.

For Antares being such a huge company this vide is the first time I see it mentioned anywhere. I love this thing has a time/tempo sync open like Baby Audios. Reverb, ALLLL plugin companies need to start adding this, but they be dinosaurs about shit sometimes haha. Plugin seems pretty cool, which they would've added a doubler and harmonizer feature within the plugin to separate it from the competition since they already make those types of plugins.

Just curious: your thoughts on: 1. Set Send level to reverb fx channel at 0db, and play with volume knob on the FX channel Vs 2. Set Fx channel volume at 0db and play with send level on a vocal channel

I send my reverb as 0 dB, and use the fader to blend it in. That effect send in my case has an EQ to high and low pass, then ends with a sidechain compressor to pull the reverb down when the dry vocal is hotter, then the compressor releases during quieter sections and fills in with the reverb.

For me it depends if I have more than one channel feeding the Reverb. For my lead vocal, the reverb I use will be for the lead vocal only, so in this case, I send at 0db, and ride the Reverb Channel Fader for levels. If my Reverb is used on several tracks, it will be the opposite. Honestly that's a workflow personnal choice more than a sonic one.

All those Extras..like pitch,throat, reverse and the compressor... and no ducker ? If they got a sync on the predelay, why didn't they just put it on the size (length of reverb). This is where Baby Audio blows it out the water...in 2024 a reverb should have sync on the predelay and the length of the reverb and then a ducker

I really like its customization. It offers good solutions for those who are less experienced. I think there is a real problem with it. It has a very cheap sound.

Hardware reverb, sorry don't have the room or especially the money for any. Plug-ins? My best is my Relab LX480 V4 dual engine. I edited a preset that has twin delay ping pong and Random Hall HD together in stereo. The best thing about it is its ability to blend into whatever I add it to. I mostly do this type reverb as a send effect. Second best is my Soundtoys SuperPlate, included in my new 5.4 bundle. Toys indeed.
