Topson's trajectory from before and after TI is insane. High ranked pubstar whose 'pro' resume was some Finnish LANs, playing 10 pubs a day on stream to like 50 viewers max, Puppey tells him to commit ****ide because of his use of glyph to win mid lane... Then a desperate OG calls him up because Ceb remembered him being super annoying to play against and he was like rank 50 or something. Wins TI on professional debut, meets president, viewership goes crazy, wins it again, moves to Thailand or somewhere, meets wife, has kid. Immortalized, rich, skin clear hair sexy. And just recently after coming back to play for Tundra he makes it to top 3 again

I gotchu man I play CS and DOTA. It’s like when a high level but not the highest levels of ESEA Pugger gets recruited by a broken Astralis and he becomes a monster in that Major. He makes the right calls and plays without doing anything that will jeopardize their game. Sure he got targeted a lot but he digs deep and doesn’t get tilted. Then turns out he is just not a fluke but with the right teammates, made the next major like a nova vs GE games.

yo what can I say, notails had heart the resolve and the vision and he scouted out so many talents and MADE them into champions. Topson had the talent, only couple month of experience on a tier2 team before TI8 and in that time instilled the mindset necessary to be champions within his team and a year later this guy Topson returns to TI9 looking like Godson

Ti8 was topsoj's first lan tournament. And they were built 3 months before TI. Tagged as team to be eliminated first but got through the main stage and dashed through the grand finals with the best games. Plus ti8 is the most dramatic ti as this is the battle between fly and notail.

I think the entire team wasnt expect that diffu. I remember in ti9 truesight that he asked for the team's input on what to buy next. Everyone agreed that he should go SnY (since they were running down og anyway). Then io hit his timing. That +the diffu was their downfall

To be fair he got clapped by Maybe in the TI8 finals. Maybe absolutely destroyed him in lane and in True Sight Topson looks very frustrated and defeated because of this. However he did end up doing better in later games and teamfights and finally won the aegis. He was a god in TI9 tho

That miracle's BB was a throw. They could have won that if he didn't buy SY and go for Bloodstone (continue with Octane Shiva). BB's low mana was their downfall.

He didn't even get to purchase his S&Y when IO reached level 15 if I remember correctly. It was mentioned in the true sight insight. So technically it was not a throw. They just got rolled over after OG has hit their timing.

@@AkelaYu IMO that would be to no avail. The sustain OG has on their lineup as well as the target selection from jerax to eliminate the main initiators (wr and es) during clash is what gave them the advantage. If I recall correctly, after this TI, they nerfed the diffusal mana burn value a bit which just shows that the diffusal build is just too good against the liquid lineup. So basically OG's winning strat for the clash is to kill wr and es first then both the sustain supporting heroes (omni and chen) then easily burn the mana and kite bb to death. Even with blood stone he could not 1v5. Maybe 20 minutes more and bkb for wr and bb ( with bloodstone), they could have flipped the game back to their favor. Also, after those kills from the tier 3 defense from OG, they snowballed and got items to even kill an overextended bb with wr dead. But hey, that's just my two cents. Maybe I'm wrong.

First, Invoker is a high skill hero not everyone dares to play. In that sequence alone he perfectly executed the series of spells to save OG.ana and turn the tides. How the hero works is you have 3 elements to mix perfectly to make a spell and you only have 2 spells active at a certain time. So he casts 2 spells then invoked 2 more spells in a short duration of time while layering the 4 spells perfectly. Now the diffusal blade, the enemies they were against were beefy bois but were so mana dependent and diffusal was so perfect coz Gyrocopter has flack cannon(a split shot skill). So when he does his auto attacks he can basically burn the mana of all the enemies he's hitting making them useless and they wouldn't be able to cast spells. It was not a usual item for the hero and Topson just thinking about it at the moment. Turned out to be a 200 IQ play.
