@edschultheis953718 күн бұрын
At 9:15, we can see rods of various diameters. Rods like this often end up being machined into brass fittings for plumbing or pneumatic lines, screws, etc. Computer-controlled lathes can accept these rods and automatically machine parts all day long so long as they have this raw rod stock to feed into the lathe.

Recycled copper,, those old rads are probably 30% rust, dirt and paint. Lets work a machine with robes and loose sleeves. Or pour molten copper wearing open footwear. Clearly they have no occelfnsafety laws or workers comp people.

What does it take to turn this into brass ?
@metalmicky26 күн бұрын
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, most older radiators had brass tops and bottoms whilst the core cooling centre section was made from copper. In the scrap trade they are termed B&C rads.
