I remember the first video of yours I watched. Rob was outside trying to figure out what all the pipes and wires were , where they started and where they were going. It was like the house that jack built. From then I was hooked. Then each week you found more strange and baffling things with the house. What a journey you have taken us on, and there is still more to come but such an amazing result. I hope you put the breaks on a bit and enjoy your home. You really deserve to sit back and look out of those windows in your warm comfy home without all that dust everywhere.

I have a number of projects coming up in the spring. I just purchased the house that has been in the family since 1940. My grandfather built it originally, then my parents inherited it in 1972. So there is much that needs to be done.

Good luck with it all, I’ve just finished a renovation, do you have the original plans from your grandad ?that would be great framed on the wall - my dad built the house I grew up in.

I am so so impressed with everything you’ve accomplished with the house. It is BEAUTIFUL! I think my favourite room is the guest bedroom because of the old stone walls and just the vibe of the room is really old cottage I love the nod to the past. After that the kitchen from the rubble it was to the STUNNING kitchen you have now, it turned out so well! The master bedroom suite is beautiful as well, the sun coming in 😍 everything is gorgeous, you’ve all done such a wonderful job ❤

Thanks Aisling, still a bit to do, or as they say, "are you ever finished?"🙈 But no we are so happy with what we have achieved so far as it makes it a liveable space which I guess is really the number 1 priority!

The more I see it, the more I can picture the tile you used in the shower being continued all the way around the bathroom. I think that would look wonderful.

Thankyou, yes we did consider this, but I think it may have been a little too much 🙂

I love everything you have done, and love the old and new that you have blended into your home, I just wonder how much this small holding will be worth for you once you out buildings and land is organised. You have done brilliantly just need a couple of donkeys now for Rooney to play with . Also copied the molasses in for the gingerbread recipe n it was lush . Thankyou

I wonder how many times Clare has heard that clock to off? She looked like she was ready to hop it off you Rob lol!
@WestCorkWander16 сағат бұрын
That clocks goes all through the night, and at the moment it needs a battery change and so is completely out of tune 🙈

@ are you still loving the cabinet door color? I was thinking maybe paint instead of stain…that’s all! You have really done an incredible job and I can’t wait to see the cost breakdown video next week!

Awesome videos. Ive watched all of them. Do you plan to re-do the outside as well?
@WestCorkWander3 сағат бұрын
That's the plan! Outside in the new year 👍
@phelimoneill281318 сағат бұрын
It looks so cosy. Do you find the entire house keeps the heat since you finished?
@WestCorkWander16 сағат бұрын
The old house is very warm with the stove blasting out the heat every evening, and the new extension is easy to heat but we are playing it safe for the moment as we need to prioritize the solar next year, as we are concerned about the electric bill 😬
@afrarunduml117018 сағат бұрын
For sure you did an amazing job! I love your unique style, but the open bathroom in the master bedroom is very strange. And I don't get the OSBball over. Do you like that? It looks unfinished. But overall, a great achievement!
@WestCorkWander3 сағат бұрын
Sometimes it's nice to try different ideas, and so far we are very happy with the bathroom. We allocated all of the costs of materials using the grant allocation. As it happened we ended up with more OSB than we needed for construction and so we're happy to try using this internally 😊
@normanseagull40275 сағат бұрын
The wooden clad single storey and the house don't blend. Have you thought of painting the outside one single colour to unite both buildings?
@WestCorkWander3 сағат бұрын
We have a huge amount of work to do outside, working on the external pebbledash render and groundwork, so hopefully it will look less sad next year 😊
