We built a bathroom vanity from reclaimed floor boards and scrap wood and in this video we finish it off, plumb the sink (twice) and add some decorative touches to complete our downstairs loo renovation in our old stone farm house in Portugal.

This is the cutest little guest loo I've seen in a really long time. I love the ladder and wheat accessories. You'll find your mirror Kylie, which will also make the room look bigger and finish it off perfectly. I love your home 🏡 Looking so foward to your video next weekend 😊

Hello, a bit of advice. Next time you need to cut a larger hole over a small hole like that, cut the large hole into a piece of scrap then you can clamp or hold that scrap hole over your small hole and it will keep the hole saw in place to cut.

Oh, this is genius. We knew there must be a way but at the time couldn’t be bothered to go and research it. Hopefully this new info will stick in our heads for next time. Thanks!

With my set, you can place both hole saw sets stacked. The smaller one will then guide the bigger one. No need for scraps or anything else, drill + stacked hole saws.

I was going to say to screw a bit of scrap underneath the sink as long as the drill bit was long enough 😊 but the clamp bit is more sure of success 😊

The vanity looks great! Perhaps if you lifted the ladder and attached it to the wall higher, it would be less intrusive.

The name "Allen key" or "Allen wrench" originates from the Allen Manufacturing Company, which was the first to produce and market these tools. The company, founded in Connecticut in the early 20th century, began producing hexagonal socket head screws and the corresponding hexagonal wrenches needed to drive them. The name "Allen" is derived from the company's founder, William G. Allen. Therefore, the term "Allen key" became synonymous with this type of tool due to the company's significant role in popularizing it. - So yes… there was a man called Allen

A little tip - If you want to drill a bigger hole after you have already drilled a smaller hole, just take a scrap peice of wood and drill it all the way through and position the drilled scap wood over the smaller hole you already drilled. Center it and the scrap wood acts like a guide and won't wonder all over the place. Looks great "The new bathroom".

I always love how down to earth you both are and how you show us all the way through projects even if they need to be redone. Learning as we go! As always, my dog loves to wait in front of the TV for Kylie to say goodbye at the end of the vlog. Today, she was a little confused with the sound of water and further conversation, so she looked behind the TV to see what was going on 😂 Looking forward to next Saturdays tour! 🇨🇦🍷🍷

Next time you want to plane down a cabinet top take your glued timber or what ever to decide to use, to a cabinet maker and ask if they would put your timber through their thicknesser or their planer. This shouldn’t cost you very much for their services. Good luck. I love the improvements you intend to make. ♥️♥️♥️from QLD Australia.

If you had space you could put a pressure regulator for your bidet tap. There is also a technique for redrilling a bigger hole over a big hole. You can clamp on the underside of the pannel a pre-drilled piece of wood with a centering drill bit hole. You center the whole thing using the original sized hole cutter. Once clamped you change to the larger diameter cutter but you have the pilot hole on the underside camped wood to guide you. So your holes will also be centered

Hey guys, looks great!. Quick tip if you need to drill a bigger hole with the hole saw. Just screw a thin piece of plywood under/behind your board, you can then centre the hole saw with the pilot bit and it will stop it from wandering.

I'd consider it a finished project and tick it off the very long To Do list you must have and move on. Only you guys are aware of the so called "defects" or mistakes. Just add the mirror and then you can totally tick it off your list 😊

Great video, love seeing you guys having fun. The ladder works. Panels look better white, the white wash was meh. The proper name is a hex key. William G. Allen patented the idea of cold forming a screw around a hex die and marketted them as "The Allen Safety Set Screw" and needing an "Allen" key to use them. Similar story for something we all call Jubille clips, which we should call worm drive clamp. Another being the good ole Hoover!!!
