The Weedy Garden

3 ай бұрын

Three years ago I introduced about one kilo (two pounds) of compost worms into my worm farm/bath tub. Today, three years later there must have been millions of worms that have come and gone in the cycle of Wormville`s short history.
Many generations have thrived through three summers and winters. Today I have nutrients on tap, that gives power to the garden. It`s PERMACULTURE MADE EASY folks - and fully organic! There are a few simple tips that I can share and some interesting information about our composting friends...the compost worms, so sit back and enjoy another episode from the little garden on the hill - Far away from any town and even further from a city.
If you are grateful and thankful, then there is a special button just for you called "thanks" ;-)

I love the creativity and beauty in your videos; started following you 4 years ago during the lockdown when I had time to excavate all the weeds and crap from what had been our garden, discovered the soil was still there, rich and waiting, and I was inspired by your videos. Thank you for taking us through your Wormville; I need to reset my worm tub -- which I also began because you used a tub, showed us how to do it. Greetings from the state of Georgia in the US, right above the Florida state line, where early spring weather is teasing us. Can't wait to start planting!

Totally agree with you. This video was not only visually stunning...I particularly loved the sound track...the choice of music to the visuals, how long you played the clips, how the music complemented your voice and gentle humour. I'm a bit cooped up in a flat in Melbourne until June with granddaughter and mother minding. You are inspiring me to really hit the dirt running when I return to Chihuahua. I'll certainly have to reset up a wormviille, concoct some LAB, and replant some trees. Hopefully somethings will survive in my desert garden with a year of absence.

Weeeeeee……what a wonderful Weedy video about worms! Trying to work out why….I think (apart from your beautiful filming and incredible research and also wisdom of experience) it’s your reverence and love for Life. Somehow even a toad being eaten by worms seems sacred and beautiful when we see it through your eyes. Thank you Weedy. You are wonderful.

A few years back we had major flooding on the Arkansas river. Living nearby we visited the river banks several times daily. The worms we drowning by the thousands. People were scooping up the wiggling ones by the hands full. These worms are very large and are called night crawlers. There were many people fishing from the levy until they were told it was unsafe due to the height of water. The road was barricaded. Our levy came really close to failing. There was levy breaks in other locations. Not sure if I could keep the worms alive, I did not gather any. Wish i had at least tried! Good video as always. Thank you Weedy! Have a good day!

I think my worms are Red Wigglers, but not sure since they just came from the garden. But I laughed when you picked up the banana: I saw that same big knot of happy worms when I picked up a celery base in the bin this morning. Maybe when I get a break in the rain I'll steal some worm castings from them.
