I know, I've done that before. In fact, in pretty much every video besides this one that's the way I do it. I just wanted to switch things up. Each method comes with it's own pros and cons. The _ASDR method_ *pros* are: You have full control over the duration of the 808 by stretching or shrinking the midi note size, the *Con* if you want to add more kicks/808 notes later you'll have to cut, shrink and stretch notes. The _cut off method_ *pros* are: you don't have to worry too much if you decide to add or subtract kick/808s because there's no stretching/shrinking/resizing midi notes involved, it cuts automatically when the next note plays. The *cons* are that if you want to end the 808 sound before the next note plays you'll have to add in midi notes with zero velocity at the appropriate place in the piano roll
