I remember hearing a theory about pooping and peeing when scared being that you are eliminating at the place of incident. This reduces the likelihood of needing to again soon so if you engage in flight response, a predator that's tracking you won't find pee or scat. I've also heard the vomiting is for same reasons but also so you aren't encumbered by a "food baby" while physically responding to a threat. You know, a nobody wants to go for a hard exercise right after a big roast dinner sort of idea.

There are different kinds of screams. Go hang out with some parents at a kids party. Screams and yells all get ignored until that scream or that cry happens and everyone leaps up to see what now. So I think roughness in screams might be an indicator of how “blood curdling” the scream is?

Yeah, I guess the roughness that makes it different is also why it's so hard to convincingly act like you're screaming.

Can't beleave increased breathing made it so high on the list! Making it obvious to an attacker that you're scared, potentially making you light-headed, increasing the amount of noise you make (which is bad if you're hiding). Getting more oxygen is good, but it's too risky at the beginning of an encounter if you have yet to be spotted.
