I am hoping that maybe the people monsters don't come out at night anymore because of the cicadas. If the people monsters do continue to come out at night and the cicadas drive people out of their homes, it is going to be a smorgasbord for the people monsters. In which case, they might not have time to get to Donna. On the other hand, they were snacking on Smiley, so perhaps the cicadas go other the people monsters and have a grand fiesta. Alternatively, if the people monsters don't come out and cicadas infest the homes and shelters, Donna may be safer tied to the tree.

The whole premise is absurd with people walking around and acting as if daily life would be normal. No, I think they were going to the lighthouse that night. Victor did not leave the cellar and I got the impression that was the last he saw his sister and mom. And he blames himself because he stayed in the cellar. He didn't go get her. He didn't go with her. He didn't stop her.

What a rollercoaster of an episode. This episode was 11/10 for me .I have to say , this season I did not find the monster as scary..This new form of terror brewing is horrifying. I think the line "Here they come for 3" , is the fact that this nightmares will attack 3 people in the town at a time .We see that the 3 people being attacked now are Elgin, Merielle and Kenny (3).

There's a GREAT magic mystery book series you would probably love. Main character is a 2000 year old Druid dude. But modernized, of course. He battles vampires, Gods, like Neil Gaimon's Gods, Gods only as strong as people's belief in them. Anyway, the parallels are many, to From. He's 2000 years old because of his tea. He brews Immortali-TEA. And as long as there is a steady diet (he feeds it to his doggo, his neighbor, and his lover/apprentice) he'll live forever. He has a healing tea that he does give to people in poor health or who have grievous injuries. It is excellent! The Iron Druid Chronicles by Kevin Hearne. There's a lot of Celtic Mythology, but also Norse, Gaulish and Irish Celt, Greek, monstors like vamps, werewolves, yetis, etc. Give it shot. The writer is freaking hilarious.

I think Victor is at the center of everything in the town. His mother tells him "Don't leave no matter what" Almost like the whole town is a manifestation of what is going on inside Victor's mind. He also says "This is my home," which probably means he has never been outside the town and therefore knows nothing about the World beyond the city limits. It may explain the odd way the electrical cables are not connected to anything, and such.

Donna was complaining of a headache in 3 scenes. The Spider. Ethan traveled while unconscious during his "surgery" in the RV. He saw the lake of tears, crayon drawings- including drawing of him and his family but then somebody screamed when the SPIDER CAME DOWN FROM THE CEILING. Some propose that FROM is tied to Native American stories about the Spider Woman. There are other stories about the Witch.

Jim was actually just twenty feet or so under where Tom the bartender got murdered by a Monsters- so it's not like he didn't hear Tom screaming for Jim to help him. Jim needs to stop being so subservient to Randall. You said there was no one on the phone, but that's not right- there was a voice repeating a singsong bit that sounds like it referenced the Cicadas. It said "they come for three, unless you stop the melody". It seems like the voice wants an end to the music box/ballerina hints. It seems like an opposing force to the ballerina. The rapid healing thing is directed- because it's sure not helping Marielle get through withdrawals super fast- even though Ethan is almost recovered from a lethal stab wound only...two days later? That's just shy of Wolverine healing factor!

This is interesting because cicadas are cyclical. Some cicadas only emerge every 17 years. However, cicadas usually die off at the end of summer and are usually gone by the beginning of fall. So, the seasons are a bit off if the cicadas are emerging in the fall. Maybe it is a sign that the season will shift back to spring instead of going to winter.

Here's some things I found on cicadas and their cycles. I'm too busy at the moment to explain my thoughts. But read them and see how they fit into our show. They gave cycles of either 13 or 17 yrs. They do have a food shortage... Idk just thought it was interesting. Here's what I found... There are seven species - four with 13-year life cycles and three with 17-year cycles. The three 17-year species are generally northern in distribution, while the 13-year species are generally southern and midwestern. Cicadas are a valuable food source for birds and other predators. Cicadas can aerate lawns and improve water filtration into the ground. Cicadas add nutrients to the soil as they decompose.

One thing i found strange about the drawings is that. When tabitha asked about the lighttower drawing. Victor said that eloise said their mom went their the night the bad things happened. So victor had to have spoken to eloise in some form after that night. Otherwise how would he know she said that. So he had to have seen her after that night she ran away from the hidding spot because she made the drawing after that night... hmm...

Good interview Anthony with A.J. Simmons. Mr. Simmons, I have developed a strong disliking for your character, "Randall," but that's a good thing because you play him so well! You're very talented so please keep up the good work. I have noticed that people are discussing a lack of communication between the characters and this might be true in some instances. However, when Boyd was walking with Kenny in the Woods, (Season 2, Episode 6, "Pas de Deux") Boyd was experiencing severe pain in his arm due to the worms and then the music box appeared followed by the Ballerina coming out of the cellar doors. Boyd was trying to explain to Kenny about the worms in his arm and then asked him about the Ballerina. Kenny didn't bother to question Boyd about any of the things he mentioned and I believe Kenny thought that Boyd was showing early signs of dementia like Kenny's father. In "Belly of the Beast" (Season 2, Episode 7) Donna was discussing Fatima's pregnancy with her and explained how several uncanny things have occurred in this town. However, when Donna shared with her some of the stories that Boyd had told her, there sounded like there was some disbelief in Donna's voice. There are 3 people in town that have seen "The Boy in White." Victor, Ethan and Sara. Sara appears to have the most heighten psychic ability because I recall the "Boy in White" actually speaking to her in the woods and telling her and Boyd that they would be safe in the "Faraway trees." It could be possible that he was part of the team behind the curtain, and was placed in the experiment (perhaps like the Maze Runner). His memory could have been wiped before he was put on the bus but part of him remembered. Perhaps the people from the bus were actually in a crash, but their bodies (or souls) were and transported to Fromville.

Actually that isn't a Crow on Elgins Shirt that's the Colorado State bird is Called a Colorado Bunting Bird. Corvids(Crows,Blue Jays,Ravens and Magpies) Don't have just a small white mark on their wings unless it's a mutation. They are either Half Black and Half white, or some Have black bodies with a White tail. I'm wondering if Colorado has some significance since they used their state bird. Or Maybe they understand most people will assume it a Crow to throw us off because of you're not really into birds you will assume it's a Crow. There are other bird that looks like crows but unrelated called Black Birds.

@@cjrouge27 exactly! I'm actually not interested in Victor's backstory. I think they could have left it for season 1, it really doesn't seem like his character has much value to add to this season. He's barely on screen much and when he is, it's him revisiting trauma. It's a bit redundant because everyone in the town has some traumatic backstory. I think they dragged the Victor story line out too long. Doesn't seem to be going anywhere though. Unless, Donna is his sister and they are both moles.

I think Victor might be the mole but not fully cognizant of the extent of his role. He knows someone or something is listening, and that bad things happen to those that try to leave. Someone or something had to help him stay alive with all the people monsters and probably other terrors. He is always checking the trees like the trees are in on it or something.

They’re stuck in an endless game, they have to rescue the kids to hopefully break the cycle. The red monster on the wall, will probably be a Sea Creature they mentioned a flood and the sea being important. I believe it’s based on a game of Tarot between a witch and demon, the witch’s twins are kidnapped. Also Beothuk the people of the town I believe their in, had deitys which were the Sun and Moon (in drawings). In 1506 (a year that has been referenced) a lost expedition from went to where From is filmed very close to in real life. Newfoundland also a site called Boyd’s Cove. Lastly Those natives symbols resemble the talisman It seems to be a combination of natives from them, witch’s and demons and perhaps tarot cards, it would be nice to get some clarity before seasons end.

Not even about trusting him, he is so mentally slow that he cannot process information normally and believes he is better than everybody else making him a real danger to people around him, he doesn`t know how to be civil, we can see that by how he always uses violence when talking about things and dealing with people, Jim is so obsessed to the point of siding with someone that was clearly left out by the community for not being able to be part of it and gave him fuel to follow up with his craziness.

Before she got tied up to the tree, in this episode particularly, Donna was ordering everybody around. She was trying to control everyone, despite the fact that her sphere of control isn't supposed to extend beyond Colony House. Neither Jim nor Randall stood up to her during the scene in the church, and told her to mind her own business. They weren't in Colony House, and neither Randall, Sarah, or Jim live in Colony House. So why was Donna acting like she's the boss of everyone and everything?

A filler episode, but I enjoyed it. I especially like the questions that Randall is bringing up, some very good ones. He asks the things many others should be asking. He’s the type that gets his hands dirty when no one else wants to or too scared to. I liked how he challenged Donna . I’ve been waiting for someone to do that since S1. Donna and Kenny’s mom are suspect , especially Donna popping up at the most convenient times 🤔🤷🏽‍♀️. Glad we got a little more about victor . Here is my theory : i don't think there ia a mole,this is pure only supranatural things. Heres my message theory.. "They touch" : boyd kill monster by touch his neck "They break" : after that, the monster is dead / break "They steal" : then, they take the dead body that i can assume it as steal "No one here is free"= bcoz what they did, everyone in town must take responsible "Here they come" : they come as cicadas to take revenge "they come for 3" = they will kill 3 people in town "Unless you stop the melody" = unless they stop looking for the answer of that place

Seems like with Martin dying enabled the town to start to change for something much worse. It seems the 3 chained in the tower need to be replaced to maintain whatever is keeping balance. I believe the 3 are Kenny who broke the ornament, the addict stole meds, and Elgin. All 3 have seen the music box. If whatever is coming for them doesn't replace the 3 who were chained up could bring upon something much darker. This seems like it's very old forgotten world almost folklore old gods kinda deal. Long forgotten hidden darkness. I'm starting to think this town is to maintain something much more sinister than cretins in a cave and the people are fuel for it. Blood sacrifice kinda deal to keep that pact going. Like a ritual roles need to be filled and it's why we see parallels of old townspeople.

What if the lighthouse really is the endpoint and that Victor's mom and sister got out of Fromville. Then Elgin is the grandson of Victor's sister. This might explain how Elgin says that he is somewhat familiar of the place which consequently could be because of her grandmother telling him stories about it. These stories should be just as unclear and puzzling as how victor is giving out clues as both of them suffered from severe trauma explaining why Elgin could not properly remember those certain stories. Due to severe trauma, victor's sister would constantly crochet owls which are natural predators of the scarecrows which are depicted as the monsters of fromville. I think the owl's are the representation of the forces - which could include the boy in white - that helped them get through until her and her mother arrived at the lighthouse. Furthermore, i think Christopher is the first monster of the village and is the red monster drawing in the tunnels and was responsible of all the killings the night when victor's mother left. I also think that chistopher has been showing symptoms of him gradually turning into a monster and the people of fromville have locked him up and noticed that every night, christopher exhibits monstrous behavious, and then one day, Christopher got out of his cell and that is why all the people including victor's mom where rattled and told victor and his sister to not come out at night as they expect that Christopher would come back. The dead bodies which victor saw must be the bodies of those people who were caught by chistopher. Other people who ran from christopher should have been led and convinced by Victor's sister telling everyone that following the boy in white would led them to escape and the boy in white led them to the lighthouse. I think Chistopher was the one who answered Jim's radio.

Looking back at the photos, some had their rib cages open like they had been mauled by the people monsters. It is likely that either Christopher revealed their hiding places. Perhaps they had a night of the cicadas. Not sure if there is anything about what happened to Christopher.
