The monsters don't run unless they transform into monsters when they are in a human form they just walk. Remember episode 1 of season 3 when Boyd got trapped in the barn with Tien chen he was able to push the monster cause he was in a human form. Once he turned into a monster he cut Boyd in the shoulder. So they can be overpowered just when they are in a human form once they turn into monsters they can cut kill and run

My theory is: From the drawings and from the previous episode where Victor was repeating after Boy in White, I would imagine that long time ago people came on the boats and discovered this place, they made a kids who they sacrificed in the caves afterwards for Idk what reason still. Victor also said that someone who loved them so much visited them in the caves and said a story for them what gave them a hope what was poured into the roots what created the tree, so I believe the story what was told to them was some fairy tale with monsters, magic portal trees etc. and mainly about good and evil (2 entities - good - boy in white represents the children and bad - man in yellow suit), so somehow these sacrificed children subconsciously manifested this story into the real place (Something like Alessa from Silent Hill) or loop hole in a hope that they will be saved by people and survive. (That's why since episode 1 we have Ethan talking about Heros and Monsters all the time like in some fairy tale) Whenever this group of people in this loop hole fails to save the children they all die and the whole cycle repeats itself with the same people all over again just reincarnated as it seems to be probably proved.

Smiley running was the only good thing in this episode. I know we fans complain about the pacing, but this episode has no excuse for it to be slow due to only 1 episode left. Actually, I think Tabitha is Eloise and she’s remembering what she saw as a little girl. I think she hid and saw what happened to Miranda then went through the bottle tree and escaped through the lighthouse which is why Tabitha had the vision of the lighthouse before she went there…it was a memory. I think she ended up in a hospital, placed in child protective services, and was adopted by her current parents.

I don't think she's Miranda. I think she is Eloise. When Victor finally remembered he had a sister, they showed Eloise following there mother that's why victor was alone. Eloise saw Smiley kill her mother. Maybe Eloise was able to go in to the faraway tree instead. That's why she was able to get out and grow up with a new family and now she's Tabitha.

Going by their clothing they seem to have been regular people at one point or could they just have the ability to mimic human appearance and chose appropriate clothing for this particular cycle? I’m not in any hurry to know but I am sure looking forward to it! In my opinion, I think the pacing, reveals, myth lore of the town has been presented pretty well so far so I’m hoping that the writers don’t listen to the naysayers about pacing and reveals because this is the first show in a long time that makes the discussions with family, friends and coworkers about it an awesome part of being a From-fan! I think the "game rules" keeps changing every time there's a cycle reset. Think of it as a chess game. Let's say at first the monsters are only allowed to walk,but due to the other sides progression in the game ,then they'd be allowed to run. Smily was running towards miranda, so I'm thinking that the monsters will be able to run in the future, and i think the talismans will be useless in the future.

I think all of the towns people are reincarnations of the characters in the original story and that everytime they die and get reincarnated the town draws them back to make things right .Because of the childrens hope the town is stuck in a loop. 0:20 I still think Tilly was complicit with this baby being born, I think she saw the Kimono woman too, and was told her part in it, she knew she needed to die, still hoping Tilly and Elgin and Fatima have been manipulated for good. The voices who I think is The man in yellow/thomas may want Fatima found, to stop the birth which may make Kimono woman human. She maybe have been killed as a witch and starved to death in the cellar, which is why the need for rotting veg and blood, if that's what was in the cellar to stay alive, you would drink and eat whatever you could hoping to stay alive. Maybe Kimono lady has been trying to be reborn for many cycles but the pregnancy is thwarted. Being born from a barren womb certainly sounds like witchcraft.

We haven't gotten answers to fundamental questions even after we are heading towards the end of the season. I love the mystery of the show and theorizing. But I completely understand why people get annoyed. Some questions like; why did Acosta get set up to be the antagonist yet she has been quite vacant in the last 2 episodes? What has been lurking around the cabins? They have made many dialogs mention "there is something else out there" and then we don't hear about it again? They seem to set up many interesting things in dialogs and action, and then it never gets followed up again? Will s3 end on a massive cliffhanger and we will have to wait until s4 to continue?

There is def something hidden under the town. The wires end there, and the guy on the radio in season one saying to Jim your wife should not be digging down there. The monsters even told Victor to stop going down there. The tunnels obviously go under the town too b/c of the hole Tabitha dug dropped her right into the tunnel. I bet there is a lot going on down there. Even having the monster's there keeps them from taking trips down, they know what those monsters can do and dont come at out night for that reason. So I dont see the towns people exploring the caves with those "Attack Dogs" down there. Its like a layer of protection and I think the house collapsing was the result of there being an entrance. That house fell in a way that would never happen, maybe hard to understand if you never worked construction. So either this town is alive and controls itself, or an upload of some type of even a dream/nightmare. That dont narrow it down too much lol!! But IDK i was on the side of an upload but more on the side the town is a entity or alive. What makes me think that is something i mentioned in comments time to time, the Monsters are dressed from eras related to the buildings. We got a lot of monster that seem to have a 50s style, and a 50's diner. We have a 1920s style gas station and we got people dressed from the 20s. We have that church which is old like civil war era town church. Also Colony house, I kind of live near the Filming site, not close but close enough that we have those style houses all over the place and its an early Victorian Era(Circa 1830's to around 1900 on east cost Canada and New England area US) house that a family would typically live in with 3 to 4 generations living in the home at a single time. A time when you would pass the home down to your family each genration. Also most of the houses that are in town are typical from the 1950-60s. We see Monsters and Visions from these generations. I got this feeling the town stole those structures or the town merges into the real world at times. So many possibilities. I am pumped for the next episode and bummed i have to wait probably at least a year. lol but hey its only TV!!

I'll be honest, I'm genuinely worried. We have one episode left, and surely there isnt enough time now to adequately answer and wrap up a lot of the questions?? I had such anticipation and excitement for these last 2 episodes- there was endless talk online and "spoilers" as well as crazy theories- and yet it all fell flat. I have tried so hard to not complain about the pacing and filler episodes, I truly believe storytelling is an art and it does indeed need time to unravel and slot into place, but these seasons are just too short to be keeping it at this slow pace. I have little hope for the finale now, and it pains me to say that because I LOVE this show! The premise is incredible, the writers really are brilliant; it's just the pacing thats a serious issue, I think? It would be fine if we had another 10 episodes to go but we don't, and Im just a bit deflated now thinking how the last episode surely wont be able to fit everything in, and then we will have to wait sooo long for season 4. Ugh.

Miranda wasn’t chosen to save the children, Christopher was told by the boy in white so I think Jade is the reincarnate Christopher who’s supposed to do something and not Tabitha, Miranda’s incarnate. Victor is the boy in white and Tabitha’s husband is Victor’s father (can’t remember his name). Ethan is maybe Victor or the boy in white (haven’t figured it out that far) but he didn’t get killed off so I’m trying to figure that out. The police officer is either Donna or Donna’s sister or maybe even Boyd’s wife. Something is up about her and she won’t take that outfit off! Lol CHANGE YOUR CLOTHES GIRL! Something’s up with that boy in white and why isn’t he a zombie kid like the others? Why does he only show up to Victor and Ethan? All the monsters while in human form appear to be children’s characters from the neighborhood they’d “trust” back in the day….. What’s the deal with that nursery rhyme they decoded a while ago? SO MANY QUESTIONS! Ugh! I’m all over the place but I think I’m on the right track lol Still figuring some other things out but this show is so much fun to watch I’m obsessed!

Glad to finally see the story line getting a little clear. Even Though we have no clue how and why these People end up in front, It's good To finally be able to draw some points and lines. I Think tabitha is eloise and not miranda. And it was definitely interesting to see smiley run, Since the monsters don't run. Also this means that smiley has been around For many decades.. And I don't think anyone paid attention to that.

I think Tabitha is sort of like Aang from ATLA, how he had to talk to his past lives to figure out his own path. Obviously Tabitha doesn't know she's probably one of many reincarnations, though these flashbacks/memories can show her where her predecessors effed up, and perhaps break the cycle. I've heard a rumor that Acosta's first name has been omitted purposely, that the actress knows but she's not allowed to say. I'm gonna guess it's Abby.
