Bought a Wahoo Kicker V2 Smart Bike two years ago and after having some recurring issues with gear changing, they replaced the whole bike just out of warranty. Very impressed and have had no issues since. Having had 4 accidents in 9 years and too many broken bones to mention I have retired to the garage with my Kicker and Zwift. I can now ride on into my old age. Great company and awesome technology.

You can actually see the future ACE at 13:22. Put in 4k, zoom in and you'll notice a slot under the Wahoo logo (that faces up like on the pictures that leaked). That front slot probably catches wind and would actually enable the future wind sensor.

They have replaced my Element Roam and Rival watch outside of the warranty period. Massive shout out to an employee, Dallas, thank you mate. You don’t get that type of after sales service from Wahoo’s competitors that’s for sure. Thank you Wahoo and thanks Si for taking us behind the scenes into the heart of Wahoo. Very cool video mate.

In 1987 I was given a decent road bike to pull me out of depression. It did. I admired and followed Lemond in 1989 and 1990. Flash forward to 2014 when, remarried, I went to England for 25th wedding anniversary. When wife and I walked across the new London Bridge, we passed by a bike shop advertising Team Sky. It is very impressive that, though sponsored by a different trainer company, Chris Froome used the three Wahoo Trainer prototypes behind plywood screens pre-World Chapionship TT.

Yep the landscape is vastly different now compared to my entry into indoor cycling with a Tacx wheel on magnetic 'dumb' trainer, cadence sensor, HR monitor, ANT USB antenna, massive standing fan, Spinervals DVDs, then GCN videos and of course Sufferfest! I'm still way behind what would be considered state of the art due to limited budget and needs, though am totally happy with my Kickr/Zwift combo n Vacmaster remote fan setup :-) considering a head unit for next year as may do more cycling than running...

Great looking in the backside of stuff that just works and is so well integrated - just like that company that starts with A🍎. But do give some credit to Sufferfest and the sports science group that spawned wahoo x . Wahoo led to the birth of integrated bike sessions that keep you engaged weights, and stretching w yoga all in one place. Maybe it wasn’t a money maker but it got a lot of people into the wahoo universe .

An excellent mini documentary. I test medical devices (mix of software, firmware and hardware), so this was super interesting to me. Am glad that Wahoo came along to give the market a shake. The Garmin head units had become a bit unreliable (I was a user of the 305, 705 and 810). Garmin are forced to raise their game and everyone benefits from increased quality.

Great film! I love my Wahoo bike computers. Unfortunately no love for the HR monitor - it worked fine but dropped it once in the bathroom sink and the battery cap popped off breaking the lugs that keep it in place. Tried taping it shut but could never get consistent readings. At least the garmin one screws in so no issues there.

I’ve always been dubious about takeovers of small, innovative organisations, about what might be lost. So when Wahoo absorbed Sufferfest I gritted my teeth, being a big fan of the SF strength and conditioning videos as well as their cycling workouts. I was pretty happy with their Kickr, so maybe this would work out ok? In the past few years since Wahoo took over, the range of strength & conditioning videos, their scientific quality and the fact the addition of running S&C (which is much more injury-inducing) has gone from “strength to strength” (yeah, sorry). I’m sixty something with chronic injuries and continuing loss of strength, and credit their videos with resurrected my running, and making my cycling fitness as good or better than it was when I was a youthful 50 year old. Simon’s video showed me why I’ve been in good hands. Now if they could come up with some strength and conditioning to help my swimming…

After moving to Canada from the UK I needed something for the winters and bought my first wahoo in 2014, since then I have bought nearly everything including the t-shirt!! Unfortunately, recent decisions to support only the latest products, such as no virtual shifting on the kickr v5, is alienating many long term customers. The products are excellent but it’s not realistic spending thousands of dollars each year to be on the latest versions because of a lack of backward compatibility. I think you need to cover this and the growing divide between Wahoo and Zwift in a later video GCN.

Great video~ I have all of their products, including the Roam and the Kickr Pro. I noticed all of their senior leaders wearing Apple watches yet I can’t use my Apple Watch because it won’t pair directly with the Roam or the Bolt. I have to use a middleware device that converts Bluetooth to Ant + that I have to keep in my saddle bag. I wonder if they will ever have direct integration with the Apple Watch and the head units that they sell.

Wahoo could finally enable the addition of the height profile in your data screen and not only on your map, and I'm not talking about this unspecific profile, were there is no marker and no info about the length of the climb. Also for some purposes a second map with different data fields could make sense. Maybe they read it and find some inspiration.
