@@Rene-up1dl If you let an infection fester to the point of developing an unusable hand, that’s on you. Nature has built in warning signs that you need to seek additional medical attention. 1) Pain beyond what would normally be expected for the injury received. 2) Excessive swelling followed by 3) Puss or white blood corpuscles attempting to fight the obvious infection. An Rx for some antibiotics would have been all you needed to maintain full use of the hand for many years to come. When your body tells you “go to the doctor” and you ignore it, there isn’t really anyone else to blame but yourself.
