In this full episode marathon of GPs: Behind Closed Doors, Dr. Ramshaw meets a new patient who has been suffering from chronic stomach pain for three years. The pain, bloating, and the effect it has on her sleep has left Michaela frustrated and upset, so Dr. Ramshaw's first focus is finding a way to manage the pain. Dr Ramshaw consults with a patient with a concerning a swollen leg. With the leg discoloured and the patient experiencing pain from his toes to his thigh, Dr. Ranshaw sends him to get some more tests in A and E.

I can’t believe that these doctors are only allowed 10 minutes per patient and I have seen episodes if they had two complaints they had to make another appointment! Makes me thankful for my Doctor

I was shocked at finding out that they only have 10 mins per appointment. That’s appalling and nearly impossible to actually diagnosis anything in the appointment. So many have to come back or go elsewhere for treatment that shouldn’t be referred.

I want to encourage these woman with abdominal pain to research and look into endometriosis. It can cause so many symptoms with so many systems in the body it can take up to a decade diagnose yet is very very common.

Alright I'm done watching these. I thought American doctors were dismissive. They have nothing on uk drs. I feel so bad for all the people coming in in pain and being just brushed off. The woman with either kidney or gallstones, both are extremely painful and the patient is 100% right that taking tramadol during a painful episode of any kind is largely pointless because it's a very weak opiate. Once that pain door in the brain is open an SNRI antidepressant like tramadol just doesn't have any kind of effect. And the woman who keeps getting boils in her leg/groin area,,, wtf she literally told the dr that she uses disposable razors on her armpits but an electric razor on her legs. All he had to do was tell her to sanitize the damn electric razor before she ends up with MRSA! These drs suck!

These Dr;a do NOT SEEM TO CARE - at all... If I was this "dismissed" I would simply never go to the physician at all...

The NHS is struggling financially - probably why they are trying to keep their costs down, so the patient suffers in the end. Socialized medicine leaves a lot to be desired.

These doctors suck, dismissive and cold. And 10 min per patient? Ridiculous. Yea socialized medicine isnt the panacea some claim.
