First time James came to washougal, he ended up standing next to me and my daughter, so I'm a well seasoned fan @ washougal and we're standing next to the whoops. He looks in awe and says something like "my gosh" or whatever, I tell him that "Travis"(pastrana)was the only one I'd ever seen "wheelie" the whole set in 13+ yrs prior. He says, "is that right!" ...first lap practice....smokes the whole set and looks right at us an Smiles! He and his Family we're the greatest to us. Thank You James. Memories

We really appreciate you guys talking and reminiscing about the behind the scenes issues. I'm very lucky to have been able to watch the fastest guy to ever ride a dirt bike in person. Watched JS on the 125 at Orlando SX. It was absolutely EPIC! I'll never forget that. THANKS JAMES STEWART!!
@derrickzenner93002 жыл бұрын
You said it. I saw him at Minneapolis 02 I believe. He could have lined up with the 125 in the 250 class and won. He was the only 125 doing a quad in the rhythm section and only 2 or 3 250's were doing it. Most of the 125 class was 250f's too

James 100% best in the whoops. Idk, James might be the best at everything. His win record might show that. He would hit quad triple triples that no one else would. Which was allowed from him having more speed out of the corner. So whoops, jumps, corners….best ever

05 might have been rough results wise and injury wise, and the 450f`s had the advantage due to stupid rules. But lets be real, take R.C out of the equation in 2005 and James would have won them all on the 250 two stroke. Do people like forget those races he attended except when he was sick at Hangtown he beat Kevin Windham and Chad Reed and the rest of the top 10 guys. 19 years old moving up to a class wich a rider have dominated for 6 years and try to dethrone him? James gave him a good run for his money on a 250 two stroke, and i am convinced if they did not change: the AMA’s stupid unleaded gas rule. Passed in 2004, this rule killed high-compression, high-rpm two-strokes but didn’t have any effect on four-strokes, James would have a 250 that was a rocketship, Factory kawi with Rick Ash and KHI and Mitch over at PC sure knew /knows how to make a bike scream, imagine if they were allowed to make improvements without AMA starring over the shoulders.I am still pissed 18 years later. The racing were better and more raw on the two strokes period.
