I remember sitting in a hotel room in LA, my brother's had gone food shopping since we were gonna be there for a while and we didn't want to eat out every meal. We all had Obama tops on, I had broken 8 bones the week before trying to see Obama at the last Rally he held in Colorado, we were warned to make the trip to get food fast because it was election night, and the hotel was near Hollywood boulevard. My brother's decided that because I was on cruches and in a boot I would stay behind. I was told to call if the election was called before they got back. I was in the middle of getting things unpacked and ready for the next day when they called it. I started to cry because of how big this was for the Minority community because my brothers and I are part of that community. I called my parents first, we cried, I then called my brother's and said they needed to hurry because they called the election, I could hear people in the background what did she just say, did she say they called the election, my brother was like yeah she just said that, everyone hushed up and my brother was like ok tell us, who won, I only said 1 word,Obama it got loud. I was like guys you gotta hurry I can already hear the Helicopters.

I remember crying at night watching this live. Respect also to John McCain. The good old times when no matter who wins, was going to be a good president. How Republicans went from McCain to Trump ? - 180%.

Look at all those digital cameras. Not a single phone in sight. And this was only 16 years ago
