I figured that skimpy detection is what hurt the Abyss the most in the last episode. While all designs were given detection when it was introduced, a lot of the changes were made in haste when we had less understanding of the systems. A change was made yesterday for it, but I'd still like to see it have more detectors. The one Helicopter is called the HAR-BIN-GER, not HAR-BRIN-GER. There is no R between the B and I, please Lathrix! English lessons aside, generated fleets spawn designs in whatever way the game wants to. The campaign manager unfortunately doesn't have the tools required to prevent AI forces from spawning inside of each other unless it is part of a specially assembled fleet, and he can't just make every possible fleet composition in the game to avoid this issue, that would drive the man insane.

Well It's a shame that the tools are not available to ensure that hitboxes and such do not overlap in fleet battles, as right now this issue is so bad It's honestly causing such hassle that I keep considering waiting and not having battles of an interesting size, one of the only big 'issues' I've ever really encountered. As for the "English lesson" - I blame another game I played very recently with the spelling harbringer and my dyslexia for a combined attack there against my mind haha ^_^

The force limits were raised for some tiles in the last patch, that's going to make the spawn issue hellish... I find TG rather easy in general, they did seem to look better than they battled last time through. I didn't even bother switching shield types in the end, would not have attempted that with the LH for sure.

Yeah it's a coding issue. Nick or Khaz have to find a way to resolve it. Nothing that can be done by the campaign manager and the KotL for now.

I suppose it should not be too difficult to have fleets spawn in more sparse formation .. But of course that would require code changes if it not something you can set in campaign manager or something. While it would be impossible to have formation for every fleet composition hawing a distance variable with quite sparse default for each vehicle design would not be that difficult.

It at least shouldn't be a difficult code change, it's just an extra check in the spawn logic to make sure the craft being given a spawn location is a min distance from all the others. Gets to be quite a lot of checks by the last craft - have to check all spawned craft & if one fails pick a new loc & check them all again - but this is what computers are good at doing & spawning is not time-critical. For bonus points it can check it's not spawned on a collision course, that isn't a hard check either. Might be possible to mod this in just to have a prototype, if Gladyon has his code patcher functional again.

Lathrix, i am changing the FP values for all the units in game, with a range of 0-50 instead of 0-80. That means more ships per fight. Right now, only TG has this new scale, which you are fighting. In addition, with the volume slider able to go up higher now, there will be an issue with things spawning on each other. Ill try to get Nick or Khaz to make AI designs spawn much further apart, but I dont expect this change to happen very soon. So, TG is just going to be a mess if you have a fleet attacking you.

As a suggestion for the next season: I love the idea of you limiting yourself to build on only one vehicle in the entire playthrough. You could use sub-vehicles. No deleting your current design to build a new vehicle in it's place, keep building on it. :)

hello lathrix, im a long time fan of yours and i would like to see you play a game called rimworld. the game is about a lost group of people (that have different skills and are good or bad in lots of different things). the purpose of the game is to research and build a ship so you will be able to get off the planet you are on. there will be raids, attacks, and all kinds of harsh enviromental hazards that you will have to survive, all in the prison architect art style which i personally love.

34:50 ish. It's really ridiculous that enemies can spawn in collided, all of them has collision boxes and it's a kind of simple check to verify if 2 (or more) boxes are overlapping. It can be done with just knowing the coordinates for 2 opposite corners of each box. And most of all, collision detection is already implemented in the game, SO BLOODY USE IT!

A good series idea is to do the neter campaign again no weapons being able to be placed by u. only enemy ships you capture can have weapons no placing extra weapon's you can configure the settings just no placing anything on the weapons
