Oy, a solution to the autocannons would be to set half of the cannons to a delay, giving far more time for the other, previously fired shells to reach the target, and temporarily reduce the amount of shells in-air. But it would also make the damage more consistent, and not hurt the DPS.

The Desert rat In the mountains of the Twin guard territory the scrappers quickly discovered that their tanks are too cumbersome for the terrain. In addition to that the main cannon while extreamly deadly isnt very capable of hitting flyers. To overcome the above mentioned shortcomings a new platform was devised, capable of manuevering in extreme terrain and taking down light flyers with relative ease. The engineers dubbed it the Desert Rat for the shape of its hull. In a swarm the Desert rats could be VERY effective. A swarm of them was even told to have destroyed a heavy vehicle of the twin guard

Dylan Watts I have Armored Core 2 on my ps2, and I can agree! Also, looking up and down in that game requires you to use the L2 and R2 buttons. I'm glad modern games have moved past that, lol!

Why shouldn't it go for big targets? Just give it more propulsions, so that even if it couldn't pull the enemies down to it, it could pull itself up to the enemy.

Remove any weapon system in the flying squirrel, remove Forward thrusters, add ammo boxes, turn it into lightblock light alloy combo, add ammo boxes, add 5 auto cannons, use custom jets, research how to make it move right, change the design a bit and bam boom kazam lo and behold the Caffeinated squirrel patented by Mike thank you and your welcome.

I don’t play FTD, but watching your vids (which are f͟a͟n͟t͟a͟s͟t͟i͟c͟) That maybe you could put shields on the back of the dust devil so that when it is in another craft, if others are shooting at it the devil doesn't get hurt. Hope this helps!

AFAIK you cant spam Auto cannons way too much because they have another Bullet amount cap where if they already shoot all the rounds possible, the next time they fire will delete the volley of bullets who have been the longest in the air also is a per vehicle cap, not a global one, not sure if is also a per turret cap a real shame since those little guns could have made that little tank a good vehicle, but i think you will make it way better using the Simple Lasers

It is a global cap, not a per vehicle cap. Shells despawn after 500 for cram, 500 for aps and either 500 or 400 for simple cannons. With 300m/s shells at 1500m range you can fire at 6000 rpm for both teams combined safely. The enemy often steals half of this. The WF used to despawn their own shells.

Name it the Cockroach. inspired by it's size and random movement. it was designed be scrappers who wanted the "mosquito" experience but with a higher survival rate. With better armor it makes up for its slightly slower speed and less damage for a higher dps. An alternative the would still play the "That little pest" role for harder battles

Just a note Lath, you can also specify a max range for them to fire with in the lwc. Keeps them from aiming for targets 2km away with those smaller weapons haha.

@ 26:44 in answer to your question: It depends on the game, whether they're still called Mechs, Armored Cores, Centaur-tanks, or some other term. Personally fond of Centaur-tank, just because of the parallels with actual centaurs, but mech (short for mechanoid, *or* battlemech) is still valid. About the only thing we can be certain of is that it isn't a weather balloon.

I think the problem with the auto cannon shells, is that you're reaching the shell limit, but advanced cannon shells take priority over simple weapon shells.

Lore: The Scrappers found some remnants of a couple of different small vehicles from a few different factions and assumed that they were from the same vehicle. They thought it was a prototype vehicle which was like a small tank that buried itself into the sand, acting as a stationary turret when not moving. They later found out they were wrong, but they had already built a small craft with a turret base on it, named the Antlion for its ability to dig into soft sand. It should have been able to dig into the foreign sand as well, but the Scrappers found out the the sand in other regions was not able to be dug into so easily, so the digging aspect was abandoned temporarily. Being the mad scientists that he is, the Chief Designer slapped some wheels and auto cannons on and took the joints out of the front digging jaws, making them into pure armor. He even considered simple lasers for extreme close range and large cannons for a long-range variant. After considering many new names, including BabDrone due to the Chief's haste, they settled on keeping Antlion in memory of the failed experiment.

Lathland, have you ever thought about making a 'Mega' ship based on the Twin Guard design? A 'core' ship, focused on healing, then a external ship(s) that surround the Core ship which houses defensive shields and weapons?

For those despawning, shells could there be a limit on bullets per battle rather than per player? So both the shells your units and the shells your enemies fire count towards the same limit. It would explain why your bullets stopped despawning when the enemy was no longer firing.

I have tried to use the simple auto cannons as AA guns on my ships, but even with the fail safe they keep shooting the ship they are part of... how do I fix this, those auto cannons are really nice for taking down simple aircraft in the DWG. and yes, I did make it so the guns had .1 accuracy required to fire, and the fail safe is at max range with a .5 meter angle to avoid damage.

The failsafe block is actually quite bad at preventing damage, especially given the burst fire and spread of autocannons. The best way to prevent self-damage is by limiting the field of view of the turret itself by enabling firing restrictions and tweaking the mix-max azimuth and elevation.

Failsafes are useless. But for simple AC you also need firing restrictions on the gun as well as the turret ( unless that got fixed recently ) and also make sure you set the required accuracy low, it defaults to 45 degrees.

Hack a mini Dust Devil based on the drone, if you streamlined (made the turret smaler) it aerodynamically, copy the AI from the Dust Devil, a bit of imagination about rotating rams. and I could see this kills things much bigger (with jets on the back).

The way the bullets were disappearing is probably due to the max limit of bullets... Every bullet has its own max number... The first bullet shot will be the first to be used when the pool hits it max number... This makes sense in the way they were disappearing... You could report this as a bug... Is not that hard to fix, but is a game breaker

No. FTD doesn't allow time acceleration while vehicles are loaded in. It's in the map view on the bottom-right. Just hit the "Pull All" button, then the acceleration buttons.

I have a suggestion! Why not build those kamikaze vehicles that can either shield your main units and damage the enemy units before the main units finish them off? Or you can make a massive vehicle that has a wall for it's frontal armor, and it'll take the damage from anything, therefore letting your main units remain undamaged, unless they flank of course.

Personally, I like the regular campaign better just because you can make larger craft... if you play that campaign next, can you make a aircraft carrier that holds specialized aircraft (such as ones with large torpedoes or a couple of CAS/fighter planes)?
