Amik was great this game. I saw somewhere that he played against JJ back high school and college. I wonder if he felt comfortable playing against him. A few other thoughts: Anzo was important. The jumping at the line, I think, was to alert everyone (including refs) that play clock was expiring so could start blitz. He even effectively jumped offsides to accentuate an expired clock. Hockenson had a vertical route in middle of field early that was slightly overthrown that he "jumped " for bit it was obvious to me he wanted no part of putting himself in harms way with safeties in the area. Vikings D played well but I think they are kinda small overall and got worn down by the Lions physical play. I think it will be interesting to see if they have Honolulu flu against the Rams next week.

He’s been the most underappreciated player that Brad signed last offseason. In hockey there’s a saying where if nobody notices you, that means you’re doing something right. Greatly explains Amik. Guy just plays ball and he’s a really good open field tackler. The coaches like to say he’s like a pit bull and that’s a perfect analogy for his style of play. Awesome player, better locker room guy.

That strange alarm Anzalone was throwing @7:09 was the beginning of Alex's attempts to start calling all of the refs missed delay of game penalties on Sam Darnold. You saw in the 4th quarter he finally had to just blow through the line to make the refs call a delay of game on the Vikings.

Anzalone jumped before that snap I believe because the play clock hit zero and it should have been a delay of game. The refs were letting the Vikings get away with delay of game multiple times. Later, Anzalone finally jumped across the line when the clock hit zero and kind of forced the refs into calling the delay of game.

Hey, coach. That throw to Jefferson that sailed high because of Branch. Maybe you should reach out to Dan Orlovsky and show him that clip. He totally put the blame on Darnold as a bad throw. Clearly it wasn't after seeing this clip. Branch did a heck of a job there disrupting the pass angle.

7:03 Anzalone was trying to get the refs attention for delay of game. You’ll notice on another play later in the game instead of jumping up and down, he just blitzes across the line. That way he either timed the snap perfectly, or Minnesota gets called for delay of game.
