What do you do with the yarn samples that aren’t chosen? Family and friends I assume? I have lots of experimental skeins that won’t end up being sold or are “oopsies” and I’m wondering what I can do to not be wasteful.

I usually use these for working out stitch patterns for knitwear designs. Sometimes I sell them as ooak (one of a kind) skeins, someone might just love the colour of the trial or mistake yarns.

Just fabulous!!!! How long did it take you to dye/dry/label the 2000 skeins? Do you work on a collaboration like this from start to finish, or do you also dye yarn for sale on your website in between?

I gave myself around 10 weeks to complete this and I worked on other orders at the same time.

The brand doesn't matter because they all work the same, it depends on what your local restaurant supplier carries. My unit holds 24 full size steam pans that are approx 4" deep.
