Nice. How about portability? Can the wings easily be removed for transport in a mid size car? Thx
@Thercgeek3 жыл бұрын
Yep, remove the two bolts that holds the wing and it comes off in a single piece. There’s also a single screw at the landing gear that attaches the wing strut to the fuselage you’ll need to remove also.

I picked this up not so long ago £50 immaculate condition, had a signal loss the other week lots of bits , but she went back together few battle scars but just waiting on new struts off hobbyking and I’ll be good to go , this is a right sleeper of a plane great fun though
@Thercgeek2 жыл бұрын
She is a really fun one for sure. Hopefully they'll get struts back soon for you!

@@Thercgeek I was actually really surprised worked out for full struts & prop about 15 bucks your money I honestly expected it to be much more , also fitted tundra tyres large they work really great keep thinking about flaps on this thing , I guess if the windy days keep coming she’ll get flaps , 😉, Absolutely love the videos by the way I’m about 9 months in to it now & changed my life , had some bad times no social direction & videos of yours and others inspired me to try , I won’t bore you with the details but it’s changed my life I fly or least have a model in my hands every day , so yea big thanks 🙏 the videos are appreciated

Nice video, looks great in the air. Could you tell me what the wheel size is, ie the diameter? Cheers James

Unfortunately I’m not sure off hand and I’m not able to measure it at the moment.

I put huge tundra tyres on mine as I have rough fields works great if this thing had flaps it would be off the ground in five ft

So happy they changed the undercarriage, I hoping you can buy separately, cold do with a set for the navy Cub. 👍🏻
@Thercgeek3 жыл бұрын
I would hope that would be the case. I’m sure there are a few folks in your shoes out there.

Dad's RC Hangar - I asked that question to Hobbyking and they said there's no reason the updated gear won't work so I bought that part for the Navy version.

ok so since i'm a huge vintage jet nerd, at 2:45, in the way back, is that orange F9F-8 the same as the one on the jet hangar website from wayyy back? curiosity is killing me haha

Wow, good eye! That is a cougar that my dad built more recently but got stalled on. So, ended up in my shop. 😊 he was painting it in that same scheme.

@@Thercgeek awesome! I just got my set of A4 wings from your dad and been eyeing his F4 kit for a while, love to buy from you guys, keeping history alive haha. hope to see the cougar fly one day

Just finished building my j3 Cub, but i had to put 160g of weight in the nose to balance it!?
@Thercgeek2 жыл бұрын
Is that at the cg I mentioned? What battery are you using. I didn’t have to add any weight at all into this one.
@benjaming98352 жыл бұрын
@@Thercgeek Well I have a 2300mAh, but when you balanced the plane did you balance the plane to make the horizontal stabilizer level, (i can't tell from the video).
