the problem with the concept of immorality is that it has always been assumed even since the time of Adam & Eve that people actually have a choice or intelligence. and in order to make an intelligent choice, you have to have intelligence. if you don't have a sufficient amount of intelligence, how the heck are you going to make an intelligent choice?? society judges people of low intelligence as if they purposefully chose to be born with low I.Q.s. what madness!! higher intelligence (a.k.a. the Freudian superego) requires a certain distancing from instinctive impulses which reside in our subconscious minds, but if that part of the brain is damaged, how is the judge going to make sound judgement?? the chief of the tribe or the king of a kingdom used to decide what was moral and what was immoral or wrong. then the churches began to make that decision. and then finally a democratic majority of citizens began making that decision. the concepts of morality & immorality had evolved over the centuries. but now, in our present political climate, we have all been brainwashed into thinking that we are still living in medieval times. that's two steps backwards from progress or two steps down on the ladder to heaven. never downplay another person's suffering and belittle them. always have compassion for those who are less than you. for one day you may be in their shoes.

Getting out of the dark space is difficult because it’s too dark to see anything clearly but making a small tiny pin hole allows enough light in to find the switch. I try to focus on a word, phrase, or goal, anything that in my mind is positive. A word, a goal, a phrase or anything that is positive can become the tack that makes the pin hole. Then once i can see the pin hole of light, I focus on it (the light of positivity) and I almost always am out of the dark before I even knew I was in. My preferred phrase now is “I can’t see what’s coming” (because I’m in the dark place) this means to me that things will get worse if I can’t see the other problems that are headed my way that I would want to avoid. It's easy when they agree and support one anothers' agendas. I've seen JP in a very different mode when debating opponents. I understand how difficult it is to hold one's temper when one's precious thoughts are challenged, rightly or wrongly. But to paraphrase Jesus, if we love and do good to our friends only, from whom we expect to receive the same in return, what credit is that to us?? Evil people can do the same. Jesus is ALWAYS right. Jordan doesn't know that yet. He only dabbles around 'religion'. That dabbling has nothing whatsoever to do with Christianity or the historical role of the Church. It is a waste of time.

@@mason4966 Have you ever heard of "history?" For example, if you are young, you didn't experience the Vietnam war, the Korean war or WW2. You may not have experienced first hand the effects of 9/11, the end of the Soviet Union, the Cuban missile crisis or the Civil Rights movement. That gives you a limited understanding of these events and other things that shaped the world you live in today. People can tell you about it or you can read about it in books or on the internet. You are the reason I decided to finally follow my dreams to become a Psychologist. I'm almost done with my associates and will be moving on to a 4 year university and then ultimately earn a PsyD. But, I will say It's taking everything I have to keep moving forward. I'm almost 40, a single mom and struggling financially since starting college. I love going to college but I'm scared not having the income I once had before COVID. But Everytime I watch you, another fire is lit under me to keep going because I love psychology and feel we need more psychologists to fight back against the radical ideologies and help those with mental illness instead of fueling more mental illness and ruining people's lives. I dropped out of highschool my senior year when I realized I wasn't going to graduate and spent the next 20 years working my butt off, at times over 100 hours a week, to become successful. I finally realized that money alone is a terrible measurement for success and that fulfillment and happiness is how I am going to measure success going forward. Since starting college , I've done very well, even made the honor society for my academic achievements. I've maintained no lower than a 3.86 until my son and I got Covid last semester. But I will continue to work my butt off. From highschool drop out that skipped school constantly to honor student and a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor society that loves college and pursuing my dreams of becoming a Psychologist....as hard as it is financially right now, its so worth it. Thank you for all you do.

Because again, we only get one shot, and time isn't exactly on my side anymore, so I have to power through and figure stuff out to make my dream a reality. In about 1986 I, as a male career US Marine, currently a police officer decided to take a "Women's Studies" class to find out what the major issues, from their perspective, were. The first incident took place during a group project. My partner for the project was a very attractive young blonde. She was annoyed that she was being treated like a stereotypical dumb blonde by the female professor. A while later there was a "Self Defense for Women" session. As it just so happens I'd taught the exact same class as a police officer. But no .... I had to leave the classroom in order to protect some sort of secret techniques no male should be privy to. At the time WOKE wasn't a term but in retrospect it's obvious the professor was.

I think that is the one saviour against ideological entrapment. The ability and humility to self question and the self consciousness to realise what you're living or believing in is a lie. It is remarkable though to see someone who has had her entire belief system shattered, effectively betrayed to an extent yet still have such humbleness and such a beautifully bright light within her. I'll balance that by saying Jordan looks dapper as always. Every interview I watch my reading list gets longer and longer. We all keep evolving. Our parents didn't have all the answers and we're idiots if we pretend we do. We have one ear on the left and one ear on the right, I guess the key is to find our place in the middle.

Holy Articulate Batman! I cannot say that I've heard any person under the age of 25 who can speak without peppering the conversation with "like" every 6th word! What a pleasure to listen to Amelia's clarity of thought and expression!

The like is a real problem. It can “like”, anywhere, apparently. 😠

The first time I saw Amala was on The Ingraham Angle, and I don't even watch Fox News. I just happened to see her on that show and heard her speak. She impressed me with her views and insights, so I decided to sub to her channel on KZbin. At that time, I had no idea who Amala was, nor did I know about any controversy surrounding her. The only thing I knew was that she had a unique perspective, and I wanted to explore that by watching her content. I will point out that not everyone is interested in controversy. My only interest is someone's thoughts, and I do not care about any of the social media hype/controversy around X person.

You could hear the nervousness in her voice. But she plowed right through like a true professional and gave us a fantastic conversation.

Amala is unbelievably based for her age. Outspoken plus humble is a killer combo at only 22 years old.

Mine too, Jorge! Always eloquent, Dr Peterson never disappoints, Amala is always a delight, so to have them both is such a treat. My best wishes for 2023.

JP is awesome but this girl is pretty dumb imo. Anyone who is an atheist or who thinks the world / universe came about by chance through evolution is an idiot.

Amala, I'm so proud of you! I am impressed with your personal story and find it strange you speak for my beliefs almost to a T. When in America did it ever become ok to not have open discussions and debates? When I was in college, liberal colleges at the time btw, I was taught to always look at both sides of a belief. I went to a Christian high school and was taught the same things there. We need to have respect 🙏 for each other again and learn to live with each other in peace in this the greatest country on earth. Freedom is not easy to maintain, but we must find basic principles that we all can agree on in order for the fabric of our culture as Americans to sustain itself in peace.
