Around the world was the first thing I sang through the vocoder when I got mine. I will always love my microkorg. Sweet video!

So you say "it doesn't sound fantastic"? You need your hearing checked. I have one and yes I know it's not a true analog synth. But I must say for a virtual analog, I think this small machine packs a powerful punch. My only gripe about it is what you said right before that, and that is how small it is. Yes, I can do without the tiny keys, but otherwise, Korg did a great job on this synth.

@ZenMountain I corrected it. Honest mistake. Nothing to get upset about. And honestly, this synth is a great sounding synth. I see tons of great reviews on it.

I own the mircokorg and I have some really nice vintage juno 106 inspired pads. I would love an Korg MS 2000 though.

"It's small, it's ugly, it doesn't sound fantastic, but it's the absolutely fabulous..." - this intro is definitely fabulous. But it seems a lot of people can disagree on the "fantastic" part.

over a year old and only 14 comments?! Probably because these things have been around so long, with loads of other demos. But I found this a perfect overview: concise and engaging enough to want more

I’d like to see your review of the micro Korg 2. 😎🎹
been using the microkorg so long that I'm actually faster on it than I am my prophet 8 or minimoog voyager. def my favorite synth ever.

Well there was the Korg MS2000, but they only made 'em for a couple of years (20 years ago).

You could have talked another hour on all the features this little synth has to offer. The Patch Matrix alone is a wonderful tool. It's the only synth I sold and then rebought years later. I really regret selling the MS2000 as it's so much easier to program on. Even almost 2 decades later if Korg can figure a way to reproduce the MS2K and keep it affordable they would sell a lot.

@@Stevaside yeah I just posted about how he said it didn't sound fantastic. He doesn't have good tastes. I think it looks and sounds great, except I just don't care for the small toy like keys.

To be honest I prefer the programming on the MicroKorg as opposed to my Blofeld. And prefer the filter and effects on the MK compared to the Blofeld. Both great synths and keepers. Have played the MicroKorg live where people have been impressed by the sound of it. And the arp on the MK is brilliant, like a kind of mini sequencer as you say…
