I LOVE my iridium keyboard. Best synth i have ever owned. I’ve used synths since 1986. In fact, Ive used Logic since it was Emagic. Logic 3. I just found an old logic tutoria video from mid 90s and I SWEAR it is Starsky Carr doing the Tutorial. Way more hair, and pitch black! I’ve enjoyed your current videos and had totally forgot about all those Logic tutorials I bought way back when.

This actually feels like a monster for techno. Was not expecting that. Not sure if I'd be allowed back in the scene if I started producing techno on something expensive, but it sounds great.

Lovely! I don't know if you still have it but it would be interesting if you could show us how it works as a midi keyboard to send mpe messages to eg OB6 (OB6 and Prophet 6 are reportedly updated to receive mpe).

Nice they've released this. Iridium, in general, is out of my price range, but I'm glad to know their keyboard version has a special keyboard rather than just a typical. I always thought it was unfortunate they didn't include this capability on the button/pads for the desktop. I'm sure there are reasons, but that would have been really useful.

The Hydrasynth Keyboard, Dekuxe and Explorer all have polyphonic aftertouch keyboards.

yes, but having had a HS and the iridium... well lets say I sold my HS and bought iridium primarily because the Polty AT keybed is SOOOO Much nicer. The FM and sampling capabilities (and the sequencer that the HS doesnt have) are just a bonus.

returned original iridium, because was missing fully integrated poly-at keyboard with handy knobs and touch panel at your fingertips. otherwise good synth. though would not buy at the kb version price. maybe if it got desktop pads with seq, librarian

more voices and polyphonic aftertouch are the plus points here - Quantum only has 8 voices and no poly AT... It does have analogue filters. So are analogue filters more inportnat than the poly AT and double the voices to you - that is the question.

Had the Hydrasynth, have the iridium... the HS is decent but this is a league or two better.

I guess if you just really want (or your situation actually requires?) an all-in-one the price tag might make sense. (If you are a pro that tours you play whatever Nord covers the show sound set like the other touring pros) The same dosh gets you a Hydrasynth and all 3 Korg digitals; or a Polybrute plus 2 of them. Or a Pro 3 or Matrixbrute in the mix. In the studio there are better granular options as VSTs IMHO. Of course some empty their wallet for a Prophet 5 or Moog One or OB-X8 so to each their own. Unless you play live for a living Arturia, ASM, and Korg offer FAR more value than anyone else today outside the Pro 3 or SE-02.

maybe. Im a hobbyest. I play in local cover bands but thats it. I have an iridium keyboard, Pro 3, OB6, Prophet 6, Peak, Virus and Fantom 7 (and a legend EXP Module and an RD2000 - but there not really synths)... Go figure. I have too much money obviously.

not really.... Polybrute is the same kind of money (its a touch less, but not much). Prophet 5, or 6 - OB6, Quantum are all more. Even the Rev2 16 voice and the Summit arnt MUCH cheaper. What are you judging the cost against?
