Very interesting to hear your discussion about what happens when suppliers mess up. I'm distantly involved in a project that's been delayed many times, in particular because a renowned dial maker run by a renowned watchmaker basically handed the small job (100 pieces) to their apprentice. They have your money. All sorts of mishaps happen during production. Finally they start delivering an acceptable product... Only for dials to oxidise after a few weeks. Then what? You're at the mercy of their goodwill to rectify and it takes ages to resolve. If they don't, you have little leverage and legal costs would sink your budget. They might even expect money to solve the issue. Those are things few young brands would think could happen but it's a good word of warning.
