Ijaz Ahmed was a brave batter but not technically sound. That's why he was inconsistent. But because he was brave and outrageously confident, he managed to perform well against Australia & in Australia. Played 16 tests vs Australia, scored 6 hundreds, 3 on aussie soil. His career average is only 37 but his average against Australia is 47 which is remarkable for a player who always struggled in test matches even against srilanka, Zimbabwe or even newzealand, but stood up versus the aussies and played more than his ability. He was naturally an ODI batter with smacking the ball mindset. Overall, good player

can you believe it...Ijaz have 14 centuries against Australia...very unique records on bouncy turning sheer type of pitches in Australia and others...no Asian have this type of records..after 2009 Australia lost his legacy of pitch...now everyone easily scores centuries in Australia ...before 2000 pitches were really very difficult

as an indian ijaz scored against australia 6 centuries this is the best his centuries came when aus where top 1988 1998 in pakistan scored three centuries 1989 this 1995 1999 in Australia overall averaged 47 against them then one in one day 1998 lahore were pak lost aus chased 315 had a great 1996 world tri series in australia scored 395 runs against west indies aus really most underated player 117 in 90 balls against south africa what an innings really i loved that innings once he hot a straight six in melbourne to patrict Patterson my favourite shot
