I saw a guy selling one (it was super nice) in college in 2001. He wanted $1000 & said I’d never see it again. I had $750 & payments didn’t go. He was right; SWEET rifle!

I just saw one at my local gun store brand new for $1,200. The quality seemed sub par.

I own two of them. The first one was bought at a pawn shop for 975.00. Kinda funny how the owner of the pawnshop in small town Montana had no clue about the gem he had. The Galil was in surprisingly great shape with no dents or deep scratches, just typical patina and even the wood forend was surprisingly in outstanding shape. I don’t shoot them much since they’re becoming rare. I just leave it as a conversation piece more often than not.

Got a hold of an ATI Galeo a year ago. All original Galil parts minus the barrel and receiver. Sweet sweet rifle, so happy to have it in my collection
@justinbiggs77293 жыл бұрын
A Galeo is not made from Galil parts. It is a cheap knockoff of a real Galil.

interesting build...looks like the barrel is pinned to the receiver. Would like to know more about what receiver and barrel were used in that build. Looks great!

The standard magazine takes 35 rounds. For our South African big sized boys the R4 (galil) is light in weight.

Just got an action arms galil sporter, new to collecting, can anyone help figure out which model I have? 392s with clean looking s instead of the sloppy one. Found the (p) on barrel. Looks like it’s only been fired a few times, and seems to be in perfect condition. Came with original box and book. Has bipod and handle. I’m hoping I made a good decision by jumping on it fast. Thanks!

How they took one of the most beautiful rifles in history (especially the wood-forend Galil) and turned it into the Galil ACE - a Frankenstein's-monster of mismatched, god-awful ugly, clunky metal and plastic - is mind-boggling.

IDF military issued lots of bottles at the time and the troops would use rifle magazine feed lips as a bottle opener and ruin the mag as a result, could not convince troops to stop this practice so they had a bottle opener built into the front of hand guard.....thats the story i heard on u-tube
