Makes sense. For younger people working in regular jobs, his advice was to not do the FIRE thingy yet. Very responsible advice. Coz you need to amass enough money to do it. 50, 100, or even 300k not enough actually. No passive income is going to pay you 5,6,7k a month. If it’s too much grind for the buck, change job. But keep going till you have 500k in liquidity perhaps.

You can always seek advice from an insurance agent for that. As for us, we are insured in Singapore even though we are currently based in Malaysia. Whenever we travel overseas, we will buy travel insurance.

There are many opportunities to make a big chunk of money. The lesson here is to try and try until you make it. What worked for him may not work for others. It's not the what but the mindset of never giving up 👍
