Thanks for this, Montreux was on my bucket list since I was in elementary school growing up on the other side of the world and loving Queen. I finally visited in 2023; it was a rainy day and I loved every moment, I got a taste of that wonderful view of the cloud-covered mountains and the lyrics of "A Winter's Tale" finally became a reality in front of my eyes.

My brother lived there for a few years when he first became a Dentist. That was in the early-mid seventies. I wish that I could have visited them,!

Freddie’s condo was very luxurious. I wish I could find the video of it. I’ll keep looking . Thank you for this video. It’s the best one I’ve seen of the outside.

Una scoperta molto gradita. Pensare che in questi ambienti Freddie abbia passato gli ultimi periodi della sua vita è impressionante. Però la presentazione non è quella che mi aspettavo. Disordine dappertutto, i ragazzi con i piedi sul tavolo, letti da rifare. Io avrei sistemato tutto prima di riprendere. Va bene mostrare un ambiente vissuto ma la duck house per noi fan è un sancta sanctorum che non merita proprio di essere presentato in pubblico in queste condizioni. Questa è la mia opinione. Rimane cmq un bel tributo.

Isn't that the little wooden house, that was next to the Freddie statue?. I'm afraid the Freddie statue, has been moved and is now in a different place, and not like on the cover of Made in Heaven. 🤔 Thank you for the video!.

On the cover of Made in Heaven it was superimposed over this place. The statue was in a different place from the beginning, much more visible. Though it opened a bit later than the album cover.

@@justlikeaStormwind That must be it, because the album 'Made in Heaven', was released on November 6, 1995, and Freddie's statue was Inaugurated on November 25, 1996, that is, a year later!. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤔 Thank you very much, for clearing my doubts!.

Montreux reconstructs Duck House on a little quay in front of Freddie's statue at the marketplace every year during the September birthday celebrations. his statue was also moved temporarily during the Montreux Jazz Festival, but is now back in its proper place.

@@carolegreenall1919 I didn't know that they put up a Duck House, every year for Freddie's Birthday, so when I have seen the pictures, I thought it was always there.🤷🏻‍♀️ My dream is to go to Montreux one day. 🙏 Thanks for telling me about it.

The Duck House replica beside Freddie’s statue was built exactly to scale of the original one located further down the Promenade.

I agree, Montreux is a wonderful place where I visualize Freddie enjoying the peaceful and calming atmosphere. The Duck House would have had that same feel had it been neat, organized and clean, the way it was (I’m sure!) when Freddie💛 owned it.
