15:10 So you were facing away, but during this attack Placidusax summons a giant bolt of coiled lightning, slams it down, and then crushes it: while he does so, the music stops and time freezes. It's awesome. He did it again at 18:15, and also did it first right on your first death

Yeah I noticed the music transitions during editing, very cool.

"Nelly" in "not on your nelly" comes from "nelly duff" which is Cockney rhyming slang for "puff" in the context of "breath of life". So, "not on your nelly" means "not on your life."

Nicely done! One of my favorite boss fights in Elden Ring, feels epic once you've learned the moveset and know what to do.

That boss was really cool! Thanks once again for having the mental fortitude required to get this far. I live vicariously through you.
@Ervtard2 жыл бұрын
Btw, thats not him anywhere near full strength. When you find him he has 2 heads left but originally had 5
@MrAndersonLP2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I'm hoping part of the inevitable DLC will be a "Placidusax Prime" boss fight. Considering we rewind time to fight him anyway it seems entirely plausible lore-wise.
@Ervtard2 жыл бұрын
@@MrAndersonLP That would definitly be in the veins of traditional fromsoft DLCs heh. They do like to go back in time *cough Oolacil

The boss was tough at first for me until I figured out his moves lol. Basically had 8 flasks left by the time I finished him but still it took me about 6 tries lol

Fromsoft have had some jank boss fights but they've really figured dragons out!!

Lol what? Dragons are the most jank. The camera is almost always terrible, too.

I just wish they put more effort into Fortissax. I'm on NG+2 and I hit him with a single Ranni Dark Moon and took out 1/5 of his health. No farming, just regular progression. Also wish he had more unique attacks.

I havent seen the video yet but no, Dragonlord is not the best dragon boss so far. That title belongs firmly to the Darkeater

I agree, actually, but I think it's close

You put wayyyyyy too many points into Vigor and like none into your Mind. 50 is more than enough. Especially if you have 60 points into faith. If you're using Blasphemous Blade you should put some points into strength to increase the damage it does. Put mind at like 35 at least if you're focusing on using incantations which your stat spread suggests. Waves of Darkness also scales off of Int not faith so that's a total waste. Genuinely trying to help you out.

Placidusax is nowhere near the best Fromsoft dragon boss. Midir is tens of times better. Placidusax is a great spectacle. But honestly kinda boring. He’s so slow and everything he does is so well telegraphed
@MrAndersonLP2 жыл бұрын
I also prefer Midir, but I do think this is close. Nowhere near as hard I agree, but I generally think as long as a boss isn't easy it doesn't bring down the overall quality, not everything needs to be balls hard.
@Herrezzi2 жыл бұрын
@@MrAndersonLP yeah I agree, Placidusax isn’t bad, and he’s definitely better than Sinh or some other dragon fights
@Herrezzi2 жыл бұрын
And I’m not saying Placidusax is easy, but him being slow makes his moves less fun and satisfying to dodge
