Jamie,my paw has 23 working Australian Brumby horses. I put green hay in hay nets, then over 2 kilometres.I nail the nets to different trees around this fenced off area. The horses all have to go find a tree with hay hanging down. They love it. Might be an idea for your herd too.

Jami you must be exhausted with all the extra you’re doing as well as your full time job. You give so much to all the animals and they are very lucky to have you. Love the winter get up. That’s actually a great idea. The blanket that storm was wearing is actually Dixie and has been washed many times so I think it’s lost a little bit of its waterproof.

I only have one horse , it seem every other day i have to change blankets fro 160 gram weigh to a 300 gram weight . She has cushings and insulation restant . So if she tets cold or the weather change drastically that can bring on lamintis . You take good care of your heard . ❤😊

Jami, get some containers to put the horse supplies in then put on shelves, this way the donkeys/horses out and it will stay and clean. Label the containers as to what inside will save time. You give 100% to the animals, do things to make life easier.

Hey Jami would it help to spray the blanket with tent sealer spray. If it waterproof a tent would it add water protection to the horse blankets? Maybe it would waterproof the donkey blankets too. Hopefully you have an old on you could try it on.
