I like to praise this lady train engineer (driver) because I've seen her a couple of times before and she always make a point of returning young children's wave when every she see these children and it safe doing so, she really is a great ambassador for the railway companies mission of being a on-time people friendly transportation company.

That was terrific. What are the black circle signs with the yellow triangles that the driver points at every minute or so? Thank you for sharing! Domo arigato gozaimashite!

I believe these are reminders to check the schedule on approach to a station, to avoid missing a stop. So you see the driver point at the sign, then point at the timetable clipped to the right-hand side of his control desk. At other times you see him/her point at each signal and announce the aspect it shows. These are a normal feature of the "point and call" system used in Japan to reduce human error.

Those are actually prompts or reminders for the driver to read an upcoming signal. The driver is not pointing at the triangle sign but rather at the signal ahead. Not only does the driver point and call out the signal aspect (the color and/or combination of lights) to make sure they accurately read the signal, but it also ensures that the driver will read and react to the signal at the appropriate distance and with enough time to adjust speed as may be necessary depending on what aspect the signal is displaying (e.g. a yellow and green aspect generally restricts speed to 65 km/h; a plain yellow to 45 km/h; etc.). Safety assurance on multiple levels! You may also notice that some of these yellow triangles have a black number in them. This number corresponds to the automatic block signal number of the signal ahead which counts down to the next home signal. Bank triangles represent an upcoming home signal, repeater, or in some cases a starter signal. Hope this was helpful.

Are qualified women and men train drivers treated equally in Japan? Sephir is a luxury line. Is it considered an honor to be selected as a driver? Just wondering.
@TheSlayerXnight3 жыл бұрын
Yup, doesn’t matter if they’re men or women driver, they treat equally. Yes, they select an outstanding well-trained driver to drive luxury train like these, just like the bullet trains

Great video...love it! But the " lady driver" doesn't look much like a woman to me. My apologies if I am wrong.

Frrst driver ( Izukyu line driver) is man , but second driver (from Ito JR line) is woman.
@masonireland68933 жыл бұрын
@@HKASAMA Why do you always have to mention that a female is driving the train in all your videos that have a female driver? In my opinion, this is kind of sexist.
