Absolutely stunning! You make me want to take my front door wreath down and make this version! My decorating style/taste is also colonial so I am anxious to see the rest of your home tour for the holiday. This year, my mother gifted me a large pinecone wreath she made in 1969! You should see all the wire she had to use! No glue guns back then! She would hang it over the mantel each year so I have looked at it for years. It just needed a bit of cleaning and matte spray and it is now hanging over our fireplace. It is truly a piece of art and we treasure it. The simple things are the best to decorate with :)

Absolutely love this! Many years we had a second home in the mountains because we lived in California I could finally have a Williamsburg Christmas. I decorated all the doors all of the shutters everything with apples and oranges and walnuts. I was thrilled because I knew it was cold enough that it wouldn’t spoil.Went back the following weekend and everything was half eaten! I just stood there and laughed and it still makes me laugh today I left everything alone because I knew the critters were only going to eat it again please makes me smile.

As soon as I saw this video, I knew I had to try the pineapple and apple decoration by the front door. My brother is here for a visit, and I showed him the video and told him what I wanted to do. I already had the planter and the wreath, so while I started dinner, he went off to the grocery store to get eight apples and a pineapple, (I told him I wanted four Granny Smith and four red delicious, for the color contrast.) We put it together as soon as he got back and we were both thrilled with the result. Thanks for the inspiration, you gave these two brothers a fun time and I've got a great looking decoration on my front porch to boot!

I totally enjoy your channel. When at the craft store look for a hot glue bowl. Then you dip it in the hot glue. I love mine. A friend Beth gave me mine because I decorated allot at church. Table arrangements etc. I can not remember what it is called. Mine is yrs old and have lost the original box. It works so much better then a glue gun and you do not burn yourself as much. Florist use it allot.

Your videos are awesome absolutely wonderful! Your home is beautiful. We live in a Georgian style home in Houston Texas. We also decorate in the Williamsburg style. Being in a warmer climate.we use a lot of faux fruit . For the outside decorations. Faux realist looking pineapples are hard to find. So I make mine by using a floral foam block. Trim it up to the size of a pineapple and paint it to look pineapple. For the top. I use a real top of a pineapple. But I spray it green and hot glue it the top of the foam. The spray paint hardens. Keeping the shape. Will last for about two Christmases. Keep the videos we really enjoy them. Merry Christmas!

I attended a wreath making workshop taught by a Williamsburg designer years ago and he used the faux fruit. He used a heavy floral wire that he heated with a candle and was able to pierce the fruit with the wire and then attach to the wreath.I found it to work quite well. Front door is beautiful! Also, I had to turn up the volume to hear you. However, when the music came on, the volume sent me scrambling for the mute button..
